Today there was a Mercedes SUV flipped on its side on 3rd Avenue and 84th Street. Residents worked together to bring the vehicle upright.

September 19, 202568th Precinct Arrested Two People And Confiscated Weapons
The 68th Precinct shared the photo above and this: “Swift action by our Evening Q-Team!While handling a noise complaint, they quickly diverted to a priority 911 call that came in nearby. Their rapid response & seamless coordination with our Field Intelligence team resulted in 2 arrests & the confiscation of these dangerous weapons”

Saturday, Octobert 4, 2025
1) St. Athanasius Church at 6115 Bay Parkway at 10:30 am in the parking lot.
2) St. Dominic’s – 12:00 pm in front of the church at 7413 – 20th Avenue.
Sunday, October 5, 2025
1) St. Philip’s Episcopal Church will have mass at 1072 – 80th Street in Dyker Heights at 10:30 am.
2) Saint Anselm Church at 356 – 82nd Street and 4th Avenue
3) Saint Ephrem’s Animal Blessing – 929 Bay Ridge Avenue is at 1:00 pm in The Blessed Mother Garden.
In past years, these churches have had the St. Francis blessing of the animals, but their dates aren’t out yet.
1) Saint Patrick’s Church 9511 4th Avenue will have a blessing for animals outside on the lawn after the noon mass.
2) Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 7420-4th Avenue
3) Christ Church Blessing of the Animals at 7301 Ridge Blvd

On Sunday, September 21st is the Chris Hoban Run in Bay Ridge.
The run starts outside of Xaverian High School.
•Opening Ceremony begins at 10:00am
•5 Mile Run & 5K Run starts at 10:30am (rain or shine).
•Tina Hoban 5K Run/Walk participants follow runners.
•The Kids Dash will take place at the end of the Run

A new Greek restaurant named is coming to 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge!
Kampos Taverna is opening at 8413- 3rd Avenue. Their website is up and they will add the menu when they are close to opening. https://kampostaverna.com

An MTA bus and Honda Accord collided at 1:30 am.
Pete T. shared this photo, which shows the Honda Accord had a lot of damage:
The bus hit into an apartment building on the corner of Bay Ridge Avenue and Ridge Blvd. The building was not badly damaged.
