June 12, 2021The Greek School of Plato in Bay Ridge

The Greek School of Plato announced that they have their certificate of occupancy.
This is a beautiful new school at 670 92nd Street. If you can’t imagine where that is, it’s next to Poly Prep’s entrance. (See neighborhood map)
They have a virtual tour here – it’s so modern. (Go look)

For years I saw this being built and had no idea what this building was going to become.
The students are going to love going to this modern building! (More info here)

June 12, 2021Denyse Wharf Beach in Bay Ridge
Our office was happy to participate in the clean up event at Denyse Wharf Beach in #BayRidge this morning led by Professor Greene & Professor Danza of @CUNYkcc. pic.twitter.com/CeYp50DQu1
— Office of Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (@RepMalliotakis) June 12, 2021
There’s a beach in Bay Ridge? Yup. A very tiny one.
You can only get to Denyse Wharf Beach by walking or bike riding on the 4th Avenue overpass on the Belt Parkway at Shore Road. When the path has a choice to go right or left, GO left and you will find this under the bridge.
Malliotakis shared that her office participated in the cleanup.
I believe a professor at Kingsborough heads this cleanup – I remember reading about him before.

June 12, 2021Eric Adams Spoke on Education – Terrible
NYC Mayoral Frontrunner Eric Adams: “With new technology you don’t need school children to be in a school building with a number of teachers. It’s just the opposite. You could have one teacher teach 300-400 students.” pic.twitter.com/elaChcS1oV
— The Matt Skidmore Show (@ZachandMattShow) June 11, 2021
Eric Adams told NY that he wants to use remote learning and have one teacher for 300 students.
In the video above, he gave the example of a Math class with 300-400 students who are struggling in math!
In 2013, when deBlasio ran for office, he picked Carmen Farina for chancellor before he was in office. I spoke to Andrew Gounardes about it online:

Farina was a curriculum leader and a chancellor who created significant changes in NYC schools, including her recommendations to Mayor deBlasio on early learning programs. That is his success.
I’m surprised to see Senator Gounardes supporting Eric Adams without knowing about Adams’ plans for education.
If you know anything about remote learning, you wouldn’t say that.

Councilman Justin Brannan, who discussed “defunding the police” on social media (see here) supports Eric Adams. Adams and Brannan worked together to support a lobbyist bill for drones. Sadly, the drone bill was even pushed during the pandemic. (See here)

June 11, 2021Quaglione’s Tweet About a Donut

Ohhhh Republicans…..please……please vote him out.
When you have a camera, you never say, “Checking cameras.”
You check the camera, you take photos on your phone and and you share them to your neighbors and everyone whose got your back. I know that’s what we all do because I have shared, been asked to share my footage and received a lot of videos from neighbors and friends.
Quaglione knows his opponents are adults – they aren’t going to “throw a donut at his door.”
Heidi and Bob were both sympathetic towards Quaglione.

I’m not sympathetic towards Quags tweets!

I am annoyed that John Quaglione chose not to stand up to his party when they tried to push Avery Pereira, the District Leader in Sunset Park off the ballot. Quaglione is not a good district leader and needs to SIT DOWN! (Info about that here)
I don’t know Avery Pereira, but he’s a good district leader. They wanted to get rid of him because he didn’t support who they wanted him to support.
I spent some time campaigning in Red Hook today to hear issues in voters mind. This is the forgotten neighborhood of our district and it will no longer be forgotten. The Democrats have destroyed this area and Establishment Republicans refuse to come here. That must end! pic.twitter.com/1av1SB5Uvv
— Avery Pereira (@AveryPereira) June 12, 2021
Avery spoke his mind on who he thought was the best candidate. Avery takes his job as a district leader seriously – see video above. That’s what a district leader is supposed to do, Mr. Quaglione.
Politics aside, Avery is just an awesome person!
As I was campaigning last night, a homeless veteran came up to me to tell me his story. It was heartbreaking to hear that is a widowed veteran with two daughters. Those who fought for our nation deserve every resource to never live on the streets. We need to do better.
— Avery Pereira (@AveryPereira) June 13, 2021
Years ago, Quaglione tried to gain office through a backroom deal (see here). I am tired of the nonsense AND donuts. We have bigger issues to deal with!
Quaglione should know better by now – the Democrats love playing with him because he gets agitated and then he tweets! And they cheer and laugh because they find that entertaining.

Early voting starts tomorrow…..vote for Bob Cassara and Heidi “Hei Man” Chan. Let’s get them powering up this community and stop the silliness!
