Be Careful Dyker Heights – Neighbors Shared Info to Keep Each Other Safe
There was an incident with a gun being left behind on 84th Street and 12th Avenue in Dyker Heights. Sadly, this neighborhood has a problem with drugs being sold. (See here)
The residents are angry because the problem continues and everyone knows the houses that are involved. They have asked local politicians to do something, but nothing has been done.
The officer investigating shared his card above. Call him if you have any info or problems.
Neighbors shared that there were two attempted break-ins near this corner.

Bay RIdge School is Music is at 7207 Fort Hamilton Pkwy. They have camps during school breaks and the Summer too!

Even before Covid-19, Brooklynites were riding over the bridge to get to the city for work. Covid-19 definitely made riding to Manhattan more popular and hopefully this helps.
Eventually, they will need a new level just for bikes.

NYPD Are Asking for Help With This Guy
No one was caught for the shooting in Bay Ridge yesterday. There were no announcements for an arrest.
Now there is a $3500 reward for the guy who fired a gun. See the video This is video from the other side – see here. A window was broken by a stray bullet (See here).
It’s strange the photos the NYPD used are so terrible. This incident happened around 1:00 pm on a sunny afternoon.
The 5th Avenue BID should invest in some cameras for the area – not for the NYPD, but for Bay Ridge. Each business could have a $200 camera with nightvision which would be a lot clearer than what is shown above.

There is no cover charge or minimum purchase – you can just go there and perform!

Businesses have to check vaccine cards or get fined. If you don’t like that, sit outside and eat. Please don’t complain about a business following the rules. They will get fined if they don’t. Don’t write on social media, “You lost a customer because of this.” That’s just petty.

This has been cancelled – money is being refunded.
Bartolo Colon will be signing autographs at E&J Boutique on Saturday, September 25th. I remember his nickname used to be Big Sexy and that he played on many teams including the Yankees and Mets.
If you want to purchase tickets in advance of the signing call 718-775-8471 to avoid waiting on a long line the day of the event.
