December 10, 2025Two More Rapes in Bay Ridge – Kayla Santosuosso is Silent

The sixteenth and seventeenth rape happened in Bay Ridge and there isn’t a woman or man who is speaking up for women in this community.

Councilman Brannan and Andrew Gounardes do not feel the public has the right to know that a rape happened or if the rapists have been caught. 17 rapes!
Kayla Santosuosso was elected, but she just wants to take pictures of Christmas tree lightings to post on social media instead of talking about safety.
Santosuosso has been silent for years as rapes increased in our area. What’s wrong with the politicians in this community?
Rape 1 was reported on December 3rd

Rape 1 was reported on December 6th:

There were also four other sex crimes in our area this week:

Seventeen rapes this year in the 68th Precinct.

December 9, 202511-Story Building And a Supermarket is Being Planned for 4th Ave. and 92nd St. in Bay Ridge

Tonight, Community Board 10 heard from the team representing the developer (Tim Ziss), who wants to build an 11-story building on 4th Avenue and 92nd Street:

80% AMI isn’t truly affordable housing. The AMI — Area Median Income is too high. People earning $50k a year can’t qualify for these places. Politicians like Senator Andrew Gounardes and Councilman Justin Brannan should have spoken out about this.

Last night, they also explained that a supermarket is being planned for this new building. Community Board 10 should have shared that information online before the meeting.
Can you imagine how much traffic this building is going to bring to PS 104 at 9115 – 5th Avenue. Dropping off children and dismissal would be a nightmare with the traffic from a supermarket there.

It’s strange that NYC zonings paperwork doesn’t require an urban planner not related to the project to estimate how transportation, the air quality, noise, the sewers and school will be impacted by this new structure.
The owner Efthimios Zisimopoulos lives in the area and his office is just blocks away from this site. Why would he do this near PS 104? His team presented as if he wasn’t from our community.
Strangely, it was mentioned at the meeting that the EVGo station in Bay Ridge is not happening. The EVGo station was an electrical charging station for cars that was planned for the former Kentucky Fried Chicken lot. Shouldn’t CB 10 have known that information and shared it before the meeting?
Community Board 10 needs a new manager as the existing team is unable to load documents and information to social media. It doesn’t take more than one position to post the photo of this new building, meeting information and the ZAP documents: : https://zap.planning.nyc.gov/projects/2025K0219
CB 10’s Facebook page should have had a picture of this building and a link to the meeting today. Instead their FB page has multiple ads from Bay Ridge Cares pajama drive. #SomethingIsNotRightHere

Community Board 10 has enough people to tell the district office – “Stop with the advertisements and just post important information for the community about the rezoning.” But no one wants to say the truth because they don’t want “to offend” the people who work at the district office.
The reality: Neither the manager or head of CB 10 live in this area of Bay Ridge, so this isn’t important to them. The same happened with the City of Yes (that’s why this part of the community is part of the City of Yes and other parts of Bay Ridge are not. Info: https://is.gd/3tCRaf
