Something Greek Opened in Dyker Heights

Something Greek is in Bay Ridge and now they opened a restaurant on 13th Avenue between 77th and 78th Street. (7724 13th Avenue)
They are a fantastic place to grab dinner – consistently good food.
They have Yemista on Saturdays – worth getting if you like stuffed peppers/tomatoes. People love their sandwiches and Greek fries.
Lee loves Something Greek’s meatball and rice dish, but he doesn’t want me to write about it because they sell out of the meatballs!

December 8, 2021East River Park Activists Get Construction Halted and Slam Brannan for Not Helping Even Through He Should Have

During the Summer, East River Park activist went to Justin Brannan’s office because he heads the NYC Council committee that was in charge of the park project.
Brannan’s staffer wouldn’t allow the activist into the office, even though they had masks. See video
If you voted for Brannan, you will be surprised that community activists trying to save a park were treated this way.
Brannan told the East River Park activists he would help them get a hearing. Corey Johnson said no Councilmembers put in paperwork to request a hearing.
The art coming out of this is pretty good as Brannan’s tattoos tell the story! (Scroll in on the tats)

December 7, 2021Brannan Doesn’t Have Participatory Budgeting for Bay Ridge

Oh Bay RIdge, you got duped by Councilman Brannan – notice there is no participatory budgeting for Bay Ridge this year.
That would involved the elected doing some work.
Here are the communities with participatory budgeting (see here)

Just an FYI, in the past we saw something on the participatory budget that didn’t win by votes. We copied all of the ideas because we wanted to see how it worked. Magically, Councilman Brannan pushed through the losing idea (another dog park), because it was requested by one of his supporters.

December 7, 2021Gorgeous Extra Long Shower Curtain

If you need to have a longer shower curtain than 72×72, like we do, you know it’s not easy to find a pretty one and usually it is very expensive.
I used a regular curtain with a liner.
I bought the above regular curtain from Amazon (see here) They have it in many lengths. It’s the perfect beige and the design is beautiful. It was delivered without any wrinkles and was easy to hang.
It was easy to hang because of the grommets at the top:

I used it with this long liner. (Here) I used simple hooks and hung it inside the shower.

December 6, 2021Max Rose Fear Mongers and Announces He’s Running for Congress Again

AHHHHHHHHHHHH ANOTHER FEARFUL DEMOCRAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE DON’T NEED.
Max Rose is beating a dead horse. Last election, Rose thought he had the election in the bag and spent a lot of money on television ads mocking de Blasio.
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis is the Republican Max Rose is facing.
Malliotakis just voted against her party because she wanted Staten Island and Brooklyn to benefit from the infrastructure bill. Malliotakis wasn’t afraid to face the backlash from Republicans because she knew she was doing the right thing.
It makes no sense for Max Rose to say: “Republicans tear us apart just to stay in power” when Malliotakis made an independent move for her constituents.
JUST PLAIN OLD FEAR MONGERING.
Max Rose on the other hand, came to Bay Ridge and stood with Justin Brannan. Councilman Justin Brannan had a difficult re-election because he played around online and wrote this:

Rose hasn’t been able to speak out against Democrats who do the wrong thing. Rose clings to some Democrats in Bay Ridge, who aren’t representing the area well.
Mike DeCillis bowed out of the election, but Britney is still in and she isn’t afraid to speak up against the Democrats:

Mathylde Frontus faced a QAnon candidate and NOT ONCE did she fear monger!
