The Guild For Exception Children’s New Flag

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis brought home a flag that was flown over the United States Capitol to the Guild for Exceptional Children in Bay Ridge.
I had the honor to present @GECBrooklyn with an American Flag that flew over the United States Capitol at the request of Korean War Veteran Andrew Sichenze. #BayRidge #Brooklyn ?? pic.twitter.com/gFNGZ3K3sX

February 19, 2022Whose Driving on the Sidewalk on 4th Avenue Next to a School?

Yesterday morning, a parent captured the photo above and shared it on social media to alert others in the community.
This business is across the street from a school. In the photo above, children I pointed to the child because this happened while children were walking to school.

People are being told it isn’t the dealership’s car. Did a person just randomly pick this street to drive on the sidewalk outside of a dealership? C’mon.
These dealerships are not accountable to the community.
One resident pointed out that the dealership doesn’t follow the No Standing sign outside.

A picture taken in November 2021 by Google:

The police are not monitoring them either. This area has cars without plates/registration parked on the street. Who owns those cars and why aren’t they ticketed every day?
The dealership should immediately place planters on the sidewalk so no one can drive – not them and not visitors to their business.
On April 15th, Carol Langdon was killed by a car pulling out of the dealership on 4th Avenue and 90th Street. (See here)
Why don’t we see politicians taking action on these dealerships?
On July 6, 2021, Andrew Gounardes accepted PAC money from an organization that represents these dealerships. He thought you weren’t going to notice.

The organization: The Greater New York Auto Dealers Association PAC is a political action committee that represents dealerships.

They boast about their powerful voice in Albany:

The second item on their website’s sign in screen is legislation:

Gounardes likes to tell us that he is for safety, but you can’t be for safety and accepting money from dealerships that want representation in Albany.
We have asked the activist group, Families for Safe Streets to stop endorsing Gounardes because this politician is always heartbroken when someone dies, but doesn’t do anything. (See here and here)

Also Senator Gounardes is exactly forthcoming with information. He did not share this map with Bay Ridge. (See here).
Why did Senator Gounardes accept this donation in July 2021?

You want change, you need to choose different representatives who are focused on this area and not playing politics.

February 19, 2022Why Hasn’t Peter Abbate and Iwen Chu Helped Business Owners Get Their Garbage Cans Back?

While walking on Fort Hamilton Parkway, people can’t do the right thing and throw their garbage in a garbage can because the garbage cans were removed from the area. The district map above shows this is Abbate’s area.
This has been going on for weeks now!

Garbage is being left on corners where the cans used to be.
Then the wind comes and the garbage flies around the street.

Businesses are being ticketed for garbage in front of their shops.

Peter Abbate is the Assemblyman for the District and Iwen Chu is the Senate hopeful. Chu ran to get flyers printed as soon as a new district was announced. Her handouts say that she supports supports business owners.
Why hasn’t Iwen Chu rallied to support the business owners on Fort Hamilton?
Why hasn’t Abbate restored the cans to the area?
Business owners have contacted Councilman Justin Brannan, but he hasn’t gotten back to them.
Sadly, they also contacted Community Board 10 and Community Board 10 didn’t have a remedy for them – c’mon Josephine. When politics is at play, help!

February 17, 2022Bensonhurst Grandmother And Grandson Poisoned
In February 2021, Tofoon Man, a 63-year-old grandmother died while she was staying with her daughter and grandson at 2469 – 65th Street in Bensonhurst.
At the time, they believed she died of natural causes.

Three months later, in May 2021, Man’s four-year-old grandson, Wilhelm Ducatl, also died from being poisoned.
They found he was poisoned by thallium, a tasteless and odorless poison used to rats and other vermin
Investigators exhumed Tofoon Man’s body after her grandson died. (Source)
Now the news is saying that rat poisoning was the cause of both the grandmother and grandson’s deaths. (See here) No arrests have been made and motive has not been determined yet. (Source)
Why did it take eight months after the boy’s death to tell people?

February 17, 2022Andrew Gounardes’ Campaign Donations

Andrew Gounardes took in a lot of donations in January. (See here)
It’s weird that most of the addresses are from Manhattan.
What is causing these large donations?

Wow $6,800 from Edpac….it sounds like it is education group, but it isn’t – it’s a political action committee that represents dentists.

Remember we saw Andrew Gounardes introduce bills about dentistry.
This bill was from April 2021:

Gounardes also co-sponsored this bill
Andrew Gounardes isn’t helping Bay Ridge and Brooklyn because he is busy with Pay-to-Play Politics.
