Will Chris McCreight Speak Out Against the Super Gerrymandered Districts Formed in Brooklyn?

Democrat district leader, Chris McCreight complained for years about gerrymandering.
Recently, on Twitter McCreight said the Democrats will fix gerrymandering in Bay Ridge:
Does McCreight believe this is how you fix gerrymandering?
The Democrats tried to hide gerrymandering with “an Asian District.”
That means they acknowledge that current politicians have failed to represent the Asian constituents in their community. I agree – they have.
Chris McCreight wanted an Assembly District in Bay Ridge so he could run for office. That didn’t happen. Tannousis will still be able to hold the seat.
Diane Savino won’t be able to hold on with this new district.
Both Andrew Gounardes and Chris McCreight were silent about the new super gerrymandered districts made to support Andrew Gounardes.

Nestor Imports Inc. is in Bay Ridge
Welcome to Bay Ridge, Nestor Imports. I noticed their sign on the window of 9107 – 4th Avenue.
They import wine from Greece – see their website. It’s not a store for people to shop at, but it’s an interesting way to use the space.
This used to be Narrows Animal Hospital for many years.

Gounardes is Redundant In Giving Out Masks – Fails to Help With Train Safety
On January 14th, the CDC asked people to upgrade their masks. (See here) Back then, people were looking for KN95 masks.
On the morning of February 4th, Senator Andrew Gounardes was inside the train giving out masks to people who already have the correct masks?
The woman Gounardes handed the mask to already has the correct mask. The woman in the background has a surgical mask which is also okay.
Senator Gounardes always seems to be one step in helping people where they no longer need help.
In mid-January, Gounardes wanted a Covid testing site at Century’s, The long lines from the holidays and going back to school were over and the Century’s testing site was empty. (See here)
We should see Gouanardes correcting the problems with property taxes and working on safety on the trains. Instead he is playing politics to take a photo.
Why is Senator Gounardes’ staffer taking pictures instead of helping people in the community?

Anthony Donofrio’s Funeral at St. Finbar’s
The Daily News covered Anthony Donofrio’s funeral at St. Finbar’s Church, the 22-year-old man, who was killed on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge.
The Daily News explained a lot more about what happened and the story is even sadder. See here
RIP Anthony. Please pray for his mother – Anthony was her first born and only son.

Imran Hossain Was Found at Methodist Hospital (Updated) is Missing From Brooklyn
Imran Hossain. a 19-year-old went missing from Brooklyn two weeks ago. Update: He was found at Methodist Hospital. He had been hit and was in a coma. Thank God he is alive – see story here.
He was last seen on Thursday, January 20th at 10 pm in Boerum Hill.
Hossain is fluent in Bengali and speaks some English.
Hossain is 5’5 and he was last seen wearing jeans, a jacket and yellow shoes.
Hopefully Hossain is found soon or he returns home.

Go Puff Market is opening this week in the old Walgreens on 15th Avenue and 86th Street.
Go Puff allows you to order groceries from their app or website and have it delivered to your home fast.
If you are looking for a job and want to drive and deliver for Go Puff in Brooklyn – see here.
While the new place may look enticing, a lot of people are calling these 30 minute shopping stores “dark stores.” See info here Many believe they will hurt bodegas nearby.

Gerrymandering Works For Some Politicians
Gerrymandering works for some politicians.
I’m disappointed to see Mathylde Frontus’ tweet because she knows that super gerrymandering the district for the Senate, Assembly and Congressional seats isn’t right.
I thought she would stand up against the gerrymandering. There’s no love lost between Frontus and Malliotakis, but I would have thought Frontus would have felt some kinship with Nydia Velazquez, as men are trying to squeeze her out of government.
Last Spring, I reminded Assemblywoman Frontus that we needed help with our property taxes. I haven’t seen anything from her on that this year. When she first ran for office, she said she understood the problem at debates.
All of these people can’t represent our area and not be willing to help us. Gerrymandering is a sign that politicians don’t answer to the people.
Anyone who voted after seeing this map, doesn’t belong in office.
Why wasn’t there ONE politician in Brooklyn who could stand up and say, “Let’s cut the districts fairly and not play politics? Honestly, I thought Frontus was better than that.
