Do You Have Anything to Say About the Rezoning of 9201 – 4th Avenue? Meeting 1/8/26

Community Board 10 is pretty bad about relaying information.
As you can see the address of 9201 – 4th Avenue is “accidently” missing 4th Avenue.
This is the building they are planning for the area:

At the meeting they said they wanted to put a grocery story in this building as well!

These meetings happen in the Winter because they don’t want people to show up.

January 5, 2026People in Our Community Need Help

Tim T shared the photo above. It’s Leif Ericson’s Park between 3rd and 4th Avenues in Bay Ridge. No one should live like this.
Bay Ridge, our community owns this building.

This building was empty for eight years while Justin Brannan was a councilman. All Justin Brannan wanted to do with the building was put a mural on it.

Why are people are living on our streets when the government has empty buildings to house them? There is even a woman living in the doorway of this building.

January 5, 2026Man Kicking & Damaging Cars in Bay Ridge

‘
This morning around und 8:15 am, a man walked down 77th Street between 4th and 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge and started kicking vehicles on the even numbered side of the street. He proceeded to walk to other blocks and kick cars.
So much damaged was caused for no reason!
A nice person shared what happened and called for people to check their cameras. The police now have the video of this man, who was kicking cars, so hopefully they will be able to find him soon!
This is one of the vehicles that was kicked on 80th Street and 4th Avenue. These neighbors are going to have to pay thousands to get their vehicle repaired.

How awful for the owners to see their car looking like this!

The good news: Some police officers from the 68th Precinct went door to door and they have the footage of the guy kicking the cars. Because so many vehicles were damaged, he may actually get jail time.

January 6th: It’s a day later and Council Representative Kayla Santosuosso and Senator Andrew Gounardes had nothing to say about this. We have no leaders in this community.
