Skye Ostreicher is a video journalist for an online site called City and State. Her coverage is more like the reality tv of politicians.
Skye’s videos on Youtube are boring. She’s following around political-has-beens or politicians who aren’t doing anything. A video of Justin Brannan and his mother eating dessert isn’t interesting.

In another video, Ostreicher speaks with Max Rose. She says, “We are on Staten Island with one of Staten Island’s favorite people.” While you or I would laugh because Rose was voted out years ago by the people in that borough. Skye didn’t offer that information, and it didn’t matter for her show either. (See video) The video has been up for days and only has a 153 views.
It’s weird that Justin Brannan would show people where his mother lives. That should have been edited out.

March 17, 2022“DMC” From Run DMC – Darryl McDaniels Will At The Bookmark Shoppe in Bay Ridge on 3/19
Darryl McDaniels wrote the children’s book, Darryl’s Dream. McDaniels is a hip-hop pioneer from the 80’s and one of the members of the group, Run DMC.
DMC will be at The Bookmark Shoppe at 8415 -3rd Avenue signing books on Saturday, March 19th at 3:00 pm.
Darryl’s Dream is recommended for children preschool to two years old.

March 16, 2022Sinkhole in Dyker Heights – 11th Avenue & 85th St.
A sinkhole formed on 11th Avenue between 85th Street and 86th Street in Dyker Heights.
The DEP was on the scene investigating and measuring the sinkhole. All traffic was stopped on that street.
The neighbors of the sinkhole looked worried about the street caving in and the sinkhole growing.

Every morning there are men on the R train hotel pulling into the 95th Street Station. No one will help them.
If this whole community has to pay double property tax, we should see our politicians assisting these men off the train and getting them the help they need.
Click the video above and you will see the same men – but they are much worse now.
Ignoring them is not the answer.

Red Bowl opened at 8518 – 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge. 718-307-2828
Today, I saw Ridgites going into the new Restaurant! They serve Cantonese food.

The owners of this restaurant owned The Red Bowl Restaurant in Williamsburg, which is good! It closed due to Covid and now they are set up here!
Congratulations to the new owners. May they love being in Bay Ridge and have a lot of success here.
This location used to be The Pearl Room. It’s nice to see a new restaurant on this street because The Pearl Room has been closed a long time (after one of the chef’s passed away (not the owner).
