Bobby Carroll Voted to Gerrymander Brooklyn – His Cousin Fought for Fair Districts for Years

Kevin Peter Carroll was a Bay Ridge politician who fought against gerrymandering in Brooklyn. When Carroll ran for office, he spoke about the upcoming census and he looked forward to a fair district being created. Kevin Peter Carroll died at age 33 in 2019. (See here)

If Kevin Peter was alive today, he would be shocked that his cousin, Assemblyman Robert Carroll from Windsor Terrace voted YES in favor of these district maps which seriously gerrymander Brooklyn.

The Carroll cousins are opposites; Kevin Peter wanted fair elections versus Bobby Carroll who wants the Democrats to cheat by eliminating constituents from other parties, who oppose their candidates in a election.

Bobby Carroll is in politics for too long – he no longer knows the difference between doing the right thing and playing politics.

Tonight on Facebook, a Brooklynite said to me: I thought Robert Carroll was one of the good ones. I responded: Yeah good at fooling us!

Please vote against gerrymanderers in the upcoming election – these are politicians who are beholden to their party, rather than the community.

As you can see from the chart above Peter Abbate and Bill Colton are both gerrymanders. Most surprising is Mathylde Frontus.

Jordan’s Lobster Deck in Brooklyn Closed

I just found out that Jordan’s Lobster Deck at 3165 Harkness Avenue closed a few months ago. We went there before the movies and it was closed.

This is the restaurant that was across the street from the UA Movie Theater. They close for a few months in the Winter, but they will not be re-opening this year.

Before Covid, the restaurant was always busy when I was there (before a movie).

A man who lives near the restaurant stopped and told me that Jordan’s stopped doing their lobster special before they closed.

They have another restaurant called Jordan’s Lobster Farm at 1 Pettit Place in Island Park – it’s near Long Beach and I was told that is still open.

This place will be missed in Brooklyn!

NYC Train Graffiti is Very Telling

Normally, I hate graffiti on public property, but someone who is on the outside of society wrote the message above because no one can hear him.

I am putting it here so we can all vote better.

That person could be anyone’s family member. Our area gives $0 for housing the homeless.

There is so much money being wasted by non-for-profits who are having galas and dinners with our tax money instead of housing those who are down on their luck and need help to get back on the right track.
