The parade is set to begin at 11:30 am. Line up is scheduled for 59th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue.

The parade will make a left and travel down 5th Avenue to 43th Street

2) There is also a parade in Downtown Brooklyn! Bring your kids, pets, bikes, floats, tractors, trucks and any other fun things and participate in the Parade! Line up is at 9:30 on Irwin Street with the Parade starting at 10:00.

Ayat Restaurant Expands to Industry City

Congratulations to Abdul

Ayat Restaurant in Bay Ridge has expanded. They are opening a second Ayat Restaurant in Industry City.

On June 7th, they will have a soft opening at 274 36th Street. They will continue to have music on June 9th -11th. Call 718-831-2585 and select Industry City if you want to eat there.

They will be on Resy by Saturday the 4th of June as well.

This is their outdoor dining area in Industry City. I love the design and the positive message: Spread Peace It’s the Muslim Way!

Kiwi the Conure is Missing from Bay Ridge

Kiwi is a green cheek conure that is one year old.

Today around 4:30 pm, he got scared and flew out the window on Bay Ridge Avenue.

He responds to his name kiwi or kew kew, he loves people and will come for to people for fruit or bread.

He also responds to the name peach, which is the name of another bird at his home.

He doesn’t have a bracelet and he has a crooked beak.

His family misses him a lot and they are heartbroken. Contact Sarah

Child Hit By Car On Bay Ridge Avenue Today

Right before 6 pm tonight, the Citizen App showed that a child in a stroller was hit by a car on 3rd Avenue and Bay Ridge Avenue.

The video shows a lot of emergency vehicles (see here) and then a mother holding her child walks over to the ambulance. A few moments later, the child’s face is on the video and the child appears to be very alert – so hopefully the baby is okay. How horrible this evening must have been for this mother.
