68th Pct. Shared Illegal Firearm They Collected
The 69th Precinct Police wrote:
“Public Safety Officers conducted a car stop that resulted in the recovery of this illegally possessed loaded firearm and the arrest of a suspect. Every firearm removed from our streets, makes our neighborhoods safer for everyone.”
One more illegal gun off the street is good news.

Gun Shot Fired on 8th Avenue & Bay Ridge Ave.

The NYPD went to 8th Avenue and Bay Ridge Avenue around 6:30 pm tonight.
I walked on that street hundreds of times as a teen. I can’t imagine someone shooting a gun there.
Someone reported that a man was assaulted and a gun was fired. When the police got to the location, there was no one there. They don’t believe that anyone was shot.

Doing Donuts on 86th Street in Bay Ridge
Drag racers were having a party on 86th Street in Bay Ridge this weekend. Several cars were doing donuts in the middle of the intersection nonstop. The drivers weren’t teenagers but men in the 20’s.
Red light cameras don’t work when they aren’t placed in the correct locations.

This is a class for complete beginners that will walk you from nothing to being able to perform within a few weeks time.
We’ll learn to sing and drum North-African folk (Chaabi) songs, and we’ll perform a show for our loved ones in the fall. We’ll offer a repertoire of songs on immigration and love.

Catalytic Converters Resting in Bay Ridge
Wendy shared some photos of some catalytic converters that she saw on the street in Bay Ridge. The average catalytic converter ranges between $800 and $1,200, so it’s odd that these are just resting on the street.
They have been reported to the NYPD.

Iwen Chu – Find Out the Facts Before Your Tweet
The man that was murdered was not shopping at BJs.
That was known from the first night. This man and his family live blocks near Iwen – they live in Bensonhurst.
Politicians don’t want to find out the facts from the police. They don’t want to console the family. They don’t want to fix the laws. They just want to tweet.
Does Iwen think think his family deserved a tweet?

A sunny yellow LFL (Little Free Library) was added to 84th Street and 3rd Avenue. This one will be managed by a local Girl Scout troop.
