Politicians, including Andrew Gounardes’ friends speed past the red light cameras. Gounardes knew that and didn’t fix the bill. Instead, he added more cameras.
The Transportation Chairperson for NYC Council, Selvena Brooks-Powers from Queens received 17 speeding tickets in 11 months. (See article here)
If people feared fines higher than $50 or thought they could lose their license after 5 tickets, then they wouldn’t abuse the cameras. Senator Andrew Gounardes didn’t care about NYC.

Journalists are reporting that The 9/11 Tribute Museum in Manhattan is closing for good on Wednesday. Many New Yorkers are upset because they don’t realize there are two 9/11 museums in Manhattan.

The 9/11 Tribute Museum is at Rector Street – not at the WTC location.
The National September 11th Museum at the World Trade Center is not closing. This is the one with the reflecting pools – seen here.

The 9/11 Tribute Museum will transfer the artifacts to the New York State Museum in Albany (which is nice to see if you visit Albany). A lot of people like this museum and think the city should fund this museum.

August 18, 2022Vote for Grandma’s Love To Win $1500

Bay Ridge Toyota is giving about three prizes. The largest prize amount $1500, will go to an organization with the most votes.
VOTE HERE – click VOTE then submit.
Theresa Monforte-Caraballo runs Grandma’s Love. The organization packs backpacks with food and children bring it home to their families for the weekend. It’s a way to make sure children at-risk get the basics and are being taken care of. (More Info Here)

When I first read read heard about Grandma’s Love, I realized Theresa is an angel. She’s taking care of people, whose needs wouldn’t be noticed. Throughout the year, Theresa and her group provides children with school supplies, books, holiday presents and clothing to keep them warm.
Last year, Grandma’s Love put book vending machines in hospitals, so children receiving treatment would be able to get a fresh book.
** Despite Theresa’s outreach growing and inflation going up, she has received the same budget from NYC Council from 2018 to 2023, so please VOTE FOR GRANDMA’s LOVE : Here
