Workshop at The Library: Research Your Landlord

The title of the workshop held by the Brooklyn Eviction Defense at the Bay Ridge Library today is: “How to Research Your Landlord.” Just the way it is worded sounds off. More info:

Look at your apartment building’s history or something like that would have been less accusatory. But I guess the current title fits NYC’s vibe right now.

The AI That Andrew Gounardes Failed to Tell NYC About, But Mayor Mamdami is Doing Away With!

On social media, Senator Andrew Gouanrdes acts as if he an advocate for the community against AI.

The problem is Gounardes does not understand AI enough to speak about it. If he understood it, Andrew Gounardes would have called out the faulty Artificial Intelligence being used by NYC.

The City noted that Eric Adams started using the chatbot in 2023, but the chatbot provided answers that would lead to illegal behavior by businesses, like taking a cut of employees’ tips.

“When asked about housing policy, the bot suggested landlords could discriminate against tenants with Section 8 voucher.” Source:

This AI was estimated to cost $500,000. Source:

Did Andrew Gounardes stay silent because Eric Adam is his friend or because he has no idea how NYC is using AI?
