Not One Politician Representing Bay Ridge Spoke Out Against Schumer’s/Manchin’s Pipeline Deal

Environmental Groups are making a lot of noise online about Senator Schumer’s pipeline deal. (See here)

B.R.E.G., the Bay Ridge Environmental Group hasn’t said anything about it. (See here)

The pipeline agreement was originally negotiated between Schumer and Sen. Joe Manchin.

Politicians pushed back against Senator Schumer and Gillibrand. (See here) None are from Bay Ridge. I guess they aren’t as interested in the environment, as politicians in other parts of the city.

Of course a lobbying group is behind the deal – notice the lobbying group’s name!! (See here)

Why Did Max Rose Show Up in Dyker Heights For Photos When Politicians Failed to Help the Home Owners With Flooded Basements?

Last week, the home owners on 80th Street and 10th Avenue stood up together at the Community Board 10 Meeting. (See meeting info and video here)

Max Rose Posted These Photos on Twitter

The Dyker Heights home owners spoke one after the other explaining how the basements of their homes are flooding every time it rains. Many mentioned they asked Brannan and Gounardes for help for years and have’t receive any.

Why was Max Rose on their street doing a presser this morning? Rose is playing politics. Max can’t demand anything for these home owners – so nothing is going to happen except a cheesy news article with photos to benefit Rose.

Rose posted the above pictures on Twitter so his progressive followers think he did something. On Twitter, he is acting as if he “stood up for Dyker Heights” when really he is just playing politics.

If anything was going to be done, it would have been done!

Andrew Gounardes is friends with Mayor Eric Adams. Adams has helped all his friends, but we haven’t seen Andrew call on him for help with this problem or any problem in our area. Andrew has been too busy gerrymandering Brooklyn.

Justin Brannan was the NYC Council Chair of the Committee on Resiliency and Waterfronts last year. Meaning: Brannan received extra money to chair that committee and to lead in taking care of resiliency issues. Brannan could have helped Dyker Heights, but he didn’t bother.

A Rape is a Rape Justin Brannan….

Justin Brannan responded to the rape in a Facebook group yesterday. Brannan didn’t think it was a big deal because the rape was committed by the ex-boyfriend of a woman.

It’s still a rape and a crime that happened in our community. Was the rapist arrested by the police?

Councilman Brannan knew about the crime for eleven days and didn’t say anything because he doesn’t believe the community needs to know.

Brannan was also silent about the robberies happening to Bay Ridge businesses. Councilman Brannan did not speak about the robberies until AFTER Loudlabs media shared that information. (See here) The robberies happened weeks ago!

The last time a rape happened in Bay Ridge, Justin Brannan wrote that it happened a long time ago and was just reported on that day. Captain Tolson did not confirm this at the 68th Community Council Meeting when he was asked (questions were being taken in the chat and he didn’t respond it).

EIGHT rapes have happened in Bay Ridge in 2022.

The NYPD, politicians and even journalists have not told us about one. #SomethingIsn’tRightHere

Before voting, make sure the person you are voting for understands the definition of rape and is able to communicate with the public about difficult issues.

The Homeless Who Aren’t Receiving Help Are on The Train

Every morning, Ridgites see homeless people riding the R train and no one is at the station helping them, as we have been told.

These people are just surviving while NYC Council is passing bills that help themselves and a small minority of people.

The trains are the safest place for them to be to get some sleep.

These NY’ers need help.

Because money isn’t involved and they aren’t voting, our politicians don’t care that they are stuck on the train.

The Infatuation Rated the Best Pizza in Brooklyn, Three Bay Ridge Places Made the List!

The Infatuation was in search of the best pizza in Brooklyn. They reviewed a lot of places throughout the borough. (See here)

Here’s the Pizzerias they chose from Bay Ridge:

I cheered when I saw Espresso Pizza (4th Avenue and 95th Street) made the list – it’s often forgotten, but soooooo good. We found Espresso’s on the first night we were in Bay Ridge. It’s most like the pizza I ate when I was a kid.

6922 – 5th Avenue

This is many Ridgites favorite pizzeria. No doubt – it’s a good slice.

279 – 71st Street

I don’t think the reviewers ordered Lombardo’s best pizza. That’s not it in the photo below. They would have had a higher score if they ordered Lombardo’s best pie!

Missing from the list: The Firefly.

They chose Krispy, J&V and L&B nearby too – see here
