60th Precinct Had Trucks Cleared from Shell Road

The 60th Precinct clears the trucks from Shell Road when people report it. Here in Bay Ridge, people complain and the 68th Precinct does not clear the trucks. We shouldn’t see any of trucks in our neighborhood – they need to go to designated spots to park.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh there are no spots here for them? Yes, that’s correct – this is a residential area!

They can rent parking from the city if they need a spot. Where? A good place to go would be behind Industry City – remember where they dumped the people who died from Covid-19?

Will Jessica Scarcella Spanton, the New NYS Senator for Staten Island Help Home Owners?

Before becoming Senator in Staten Island and Brooklyn, Jessica Scarcella Spanton worked for former senator, Diane Savino.

Savino is best known for her support of legalizing marijuana.

Savino is also known for being the tail of the former IDC. The IDC was a group of terrible senators who were voted in as Democrats, but voted with Republicans.

Due to redistricting, District 23 looks like this. Hopefully, Scarcella Spanton won’t be one more politician, who is going to ignore problems in Brooklyn.

While Jessica Scarcella Spanton is a home owner in Staten Island, her husband is in the military so her property taxes are under $2000.

Sadly, Scarcella Spanton has NOTHING about property taxes on her campaign website, even though most Staten Island politicians (Democrat or Republican) will tell you it is a main problem for Staten Island.

Scarcella Spanton praised Hakeem Jeffries on social media (here), but Jeffries pays only $200 a year in property taxes. (See article) Do you see why we don’t have fighters for the people here? Jeffries was awful to Mathylde Frontus as well, so Scarcella Spanton doesn’t seem to know who was fighting for Brooklyn.

Jessica Scarcella Spanton wrote on her campaign site that she would help new home owners. That’s a nice thing for a politician to write, but new home owners will be smacked with $10,000+ property taxes each year.

NYS Legislatures, like Andrew Gounardes and Mathylde Frontus voted to legalized weed, without doing the work in figuring out how this bill would affect communities.

Captain Tolson said there were over 20 smoke shops in the 68th Precinct, but the law did not state was unclear whose supposed to be monitoring this. *It can’t be another job for the NYPD.

This week coming will show us what Jessica Scarcella Spanton is made of.

Legislation needs to be introduced early if it is to be heard during the 5 months If legislation isn’t introduced, we’ll know she is a cog of the broken system.

Stay tuned!

Esteban Rivera is feet, 2 inches tall and 120 pounds.

He has brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a navy blue uniform shirt and pants and black sneakers.

I’m surprised his picture has barely been shared, usually parents do a good job sharing a missing child’s pic. Please share his pic if you can.

Submit tips to police 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

NYC Hope Count – Bay Ridge Didn’t Make the Cut

Every year, NYC does a Hope Count event.

HOPE stands for Homeless Outreach Population Estimate. The event involves volunteers counting homeless people in NYC.

The volunteers don’t bring the homeless people sandwiches, or even a cup of coffee. They just count them.

This year, it’s called Hope 2023 (they dropped the word Count). HOPE will happen on Tuesday, January 24th from 10:00 pm. – 4:00 am.

It’s strange that there are no HOPE volunteer sites in Bay Ridge Ridge, Dyker Heights or Sunset Park in 2023! See map below (from their website here)

The homeless on the R train can’t get any help from Brannan or Gounardes, but now someone wants to count them! (Info)

Year after year, the counting happens, and NYC releases a message that says there are less homeless on NYC streets!

Last year, they didn’t use any volunteers due to Covid-19 and there were over 1000 more homeless people on the street than 2021, but they still wanted to write the words: “less homeless people than 2020.”

Who Cares if it is less than 2020? There are over a thousand more people living on the streets of NYC!

In past years. we have seen them give out t-shirts to the volunteers, as if counting the homeless in Brooklyn was like visiting a tourist attraction and they needed a t-shirt to remember the event.

Each year, they designed a logo!

Ya gotta love the event organizer who spent money like water doing a double-sided print on the shirt and even sleeve printing on the shirts’ sleeve (which cost a lot more than just a front print).

This hopeless count is a waste of time. House five homeless people instead of counting thousands of people you never intend to help, NYC.

Justin Brannan Has a Primary Challenger! Why Are the Bay Ridge Democrats Pretending He Doesn’t?

It’s so weird to see the Bay Ridge Democrats’ meeting agenda say that there is only one Democrat running for District 47’s NYC Council seat.

Everyone knows Anthony Batista Perez, from Mathylde Frontus’s office has challenged Justin Brannan! Click here to see Anthony’s website.

Why are the Bay Ridge Democrats pretending that Brannan doesn’t have a primary challenger?

Doesn’t Reem Jaafar, the head of the Bay Ridge Democrats, realize everyone is tired of lobbyists winning here!

Anthony Batista Perez has an amazing background and he worked with Mathylde Frontus – where there was 0% corruption. Even the District Leaders know this makes Batista Perez a great candidate!

Anthony Bastista Perez is a father of two and he’s ready to lead in this community. Why? Because he isn’t into taking photos and playing on Twitter.

Justin Brannan also knows Anthony Batista Perez is running. Why didn’t he correct the agenda?

Why didn’t Chris McCreight or Tori Kelly Burnhas correct the agenda, so that the Bay Ridge Democrats can invite Anthony Batista Perez to the meeting and hear what his plans for this community are?

I have tried contacting Reem Jaafar several times in the past, but Reem didn’t respond.

Does the Brooklyn Library Allow Politicians to Use The Library as an Office?

Why is Senator Iwen Chu and her staff meeting at their office in the Brooklyn Library? Notice the 800 section books behind them.

I didn’t know the Brooklyn Library allowed elected officials to use the library as an office and selfie station!

There are plenty of empty storefronts in the area – why didn’t the newly elected senator rent one?

I also didn’t know that state senators only worked three days a week for four hours a day:

Chu told Brooklynites she was a “decade-long public servant,” so she must have realized in November that she needed an office, yet visitors to her site won’t find one on her website:

How would someone in Dyker Heights who is working to pay their rent or mortgage meet with a representative whose hours are 10 am – 2 pm? The only people who are free during those hours are seniors, stay-at-home mothers, college students and unemployed individuals.

Why didn’t Peter Abbate’s offer Iwen Chu his office? Brooks-Krasny took over Frontus’ offices and already shared all the information – that’s someone who is showing the community they are ready to go.

NYS budgets must allow for a year of rent. If Chu doesn’t use the full twelve months, where does the money go?
