Gounardes Voted to Give Himself a Huge Raise
Andrew Gounardes voted to give himself a huge raise. Don’t believe me? See his vote here
The NYS senate is not in session until January, but they called a special session to vote on this pay increase! (See story)
Someone explain to us the level of hubris Gounardes has! The politicians deserve a modest cost-of-living increase – not a 29% increase!
Year after year, Andrew Gounardes failed to help homeowners with inflated taxes. After his first year in office, Andrew told me on Twitter that he was going to take care of property taxes the second year.
By year three, Gounardes told us he was waiting on DeBlasio. Last year before DeBlasio left office, the property tax commission came back and there was no reason. This year, Andrew Gounardes did nothing about property taxes! Instead Gounardes voted for gerrymandered Congressional Districts and his own district was changed by 80%.
Andrew Gounardes’ office is closed next week, as if it was a school.
Why can’t some employees work and help people in this district?

Terrible Collision on 65th Street and 5th Avenue
We saw two police vehicles collided on 5th Avenue and 65th Street today around 2:00 pm.
Not sure what caused this to happen – only these two vehicles were on the street.
The van’s windshield was shattered, and glass was all over.
Hopefully, the officers are alright – none were present when we drove by. The Citizen App shows an ambulance at the accident. (See here)

Brannan is Sending Postcards to Coney Island Residents Before Christmas
Ari Kagan revealed that Justin Brannan is sending postcards to Coney Island residents.
That’s sad that Brannan would do this right before Christmas. Elections are not for 11 months.
This is a sign of too much free time and too much money – find something to do to help people in this community!

Free Santa Pics in Bay Ridge 12/22
Forgot to take pics with Santa. No Problem!
Triple Promise Academy for the Performing Arts has a charming Santa and a nice backdrop for photos.
They have invited the community to come take pictures with Santa at The Brooklyn Dance Center at 8717 – 3rd Avenue from 5- 7 pm. Even fur babies are welcome. (See pics they took here)

Lester Chang Testified Today and Brooklyn Went to Support Him
Lester Chang showed that he has a Brooklyn residence and he has a bank account in Brooklyn! (See story)
Eric Adams has two residences and it wasn’t a problem.
I love that so many Brooklynites went with Lester to support him!

Prayers for his wife and family. A Go Fund Me was set up here.

Mass on 12/23 at OLA at 10:30 am.
