18-Year-Old Murdered on D Train in Brooklyn
An 18-year-old was stabbed in the stomach on the D Train last night in Brooklyn. (Info and here)
The Daily News wrote that there was an argument on the D train and the teen was stabbed around 11:30 pm. The murderer ran out of the train at Atlantic Avenue and then out of the station to the street. (Info)
This morning trains were bypassing the station, but the MTA’s twitter account didn’t mention the murder or even say for police activity:

This is the second murder in the NYC Subway this year.

Heads Up Dyker Heights – National Grid Doesn’t Just Show Up Asking for Access to Your Home…Update: EXCEPT WHEN THEY DO
April 7th Update: Brannan spoke to National Grid and it was there workers.
Natonal Grid has to do a lot better than this – the employees can’t be asking for access when robberies are on the rise in our community.
A good neighbor shared that these two men came to his house in Dyker Heights said they were from National Grid and needed access.
If there is a actual emergency, the utility company will be accompanied by NYPD.
As the weather gets warmer, more door-to-door salesmen come around in Bay Ridge. Don’t open your door to people that you don’t know. Open the window and yell out to them – it’s how things were done in Brooklyn for many years.

Good Friday Processions in Brooklyn 2023

Every year on Good Friday there is a procession through the streets of Bensonhurst for “The Way of the Cross.”
On April 7th at 7:30pm. the procession starts on 65th Street and 16th Avenue and ends at St Dominic Church at 2001 Bay Ridge Pkwy.
St. Finbar’s Church also does a procession starting at 7:00 pm.

RIP Chaim Blum – 23-Year-Old Killed in Brooklyn
On Wednesday night around 9:00 pm, Chaim Blum was killed on the sidewalk of 13th Avenue and 50th Street in Borough Park. (Info)
Hamodia shared that the 23-year-old was married a few months ago.

Two minivans collided and one minivan hit Chaim Blum. (Pictures of the accident are here)
Chaim was taken to Maimonides Hospital and passed on.
RIP. Chaim was so young.

Gong Cha is Opening on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge
Gong Cha is opening on 74th Street and 3rd Avenue next to Gyro King.
It’s bubble tea shop. They make a lot of different types of teas – not just bubble tea.
There are Gong Cha shops all over Brooklyn and NYC. The closest one is on 57th Street and 8th Avenue.
Gong cha means: “tribute tea for the emperor.”
What was this shop before? It used to be part of the Gyro King, but they downsized and cell phones where sold there.
Next door to Gong Cha, Tortas Eden Deli and Grocery opened. (Info)
