Did You Know that Wai Yee Chan Accepted PAC Money And Is Running for NYC Council?

Wai Yee Chan is running for District 43’s NYC Council seat.

Wai Yee lives in Queens, so it is strange that she is running for this seat.

When things are strange, you should follow the money!
NYC Campaign Finance shows Wai Yee accepted a $1,050.00 donation from a PAC called Taxpayers for An Affordable NY.

A PAC is a Political Action Committee.

Taxpayers for An Affordable New York is REBNY’s PAC.

REBNY is the Real Estate Board of New York.
Politicians should not be taking donations from REBNY. Here is a list of the registered political action committees in NY.
See the email they listed for the Taxpayers for An Affordable New York PAC:

Wai Yee must not think any of you are going to look at the donations she took. But you should!

You can go to the NYC Campaign Finance site (here) and put in Chan, Wai Yee as shown below.
Once the donations come up, go to the donations column and click the word AMOUNTS twice, it will put the donations in order from high to low and you will see the PAC money right away.
Friends, please share with neighbors in Sunset Park, Borough Park, and Bensonhurst. Can someone please share this on We Chat because Brooklyn deserves better!

I am surprised Democrat politicians would endorse Wai Yee Chan when they see she took PAC money!

The lobbyist that lobbied Justin Brannan (see below and here) donated to Wei Yee Chan.

The Bay Ridge Democrats used to speak out against PAC money and out-of-district candidate, but they have endorsed.

June 18, 2023A 6-Year-Old Was Hurt by a Hit-and-Run Scooter Driver in a Manhattan Park – Prayers Needed

Henry Diaz-Marim was seriously hurt with skull fractures on Sunday at Thomas Jefferson Park on East 111th Street and 1st Avenue in East Harlem (near the FDR Drive) around 6:30 pm. (Story)
Henry Diaz-Marim is at the hospital in critical condition.
A man on a gas powered scooter hit Henry and took off. Electric scooters are allowed in the park – not gas. (See here) These vehicles need plates so riders stop and are accountable.
Police are searching for this man:

These motorized bikes should not be allowed in parks. The ban was lifted by the mayor in March. (See here)
Pedestrian safety and a pedestrian’s right of way, especially a child’s has to come before all of these motorized scooters.

June 18, 2023What’s Opening on 3rd Avenue & 79th Street Where Rite Aid Used to Be?

Centers Urgent Care is opening on 3rd Avenue and 78th Street.
How strange! Treat and Release is on 3rd Avenue and 80th Street.

People like the fast service they receive at Urgent Care.
I never heard of Centers Urgent Care, but our friends have (it’s on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 50th Street). They said it is a good Urgent Care place.
If Centers Urgent Care kept later hours than other Urgent Care places, people in Bay Ridge would love them!
