Dog Owners in Bay Ridge Beware – Rat Poisoning

Dead rats have been seen in Bay Ridge.
Kathleen Corradi, the Director of Rodent Migration came to Bay Ridge (no I don’t call her or anyone a czar).
Rat poisoning was put out without warning or notice on some blocks.
How is it legal to put out poison without letting people know it is in the area? There are so many children and pets in our neighborhood!
These people took a photo instead of warning us. Why did they take a photo? It’s not a party or time for photos. Someone should have posted what chemicals are in the rat pellets being used in our community so everyone is aware!

Please watch that your dogs don’t eat poison or grab one of these dead rodents.
Streets with rodent problems: 78th between 3rd and 4th Avenue, Bay Ridge Parkway between 3rd and 4th Avenues – this has been going on for years!

August 23, 2023Child’s 6th or 7th Birthday Party in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

I had the best birthday when I was 7 years old. It was a house party and here’s what I remember: drinking Coke (we didn’t usually drink soda) and playing hide and seek all over the house (we usually played outside).
- Vesuvios – Make a pizza party – Kids decorate own box and chef hat. They eat pizza there and take a pizza home with them – fun party.
- Urban Steam Lab – Have a two hour party with a certain theme.
Up to 6 scientists:
7-12 scientists:
- Alpine Movie Party – movie and pizza in the side room – kids love this. This party is about the movie. The side room isn’t big enough for games – it’s just large enough for sitting to eat pizza or cake. Easy party to do – reasonable price. Bring cake or pizza, plates , utensils , napkins, balloons (they sell helium balloons across the street in the 99 Cents store) You can eat before or after the movie – it’s best to do it before. It’s better to set this up in person than to try to do it online [email protected] and [email protected]
- Fairytale Island – private party $740. Non-private $385. 15 children plus the birthday child. See here

August 22, 2023R Train at 59th Street at Rush Hour Today

The MTA said that it is expanding midday service on the N and R subway lines to about eight minutes. Trains will arrive every eight minutes instead of every 10 minutes between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays. LOL.
The picture above was taken at the 59th Street station at rush hour. Gounardes boasted about six minute service on the train, but the R train is still over 20 minutes. (See here)
Even though no change has been made to any train yet, Senator Andrew Gounardes took that as his sign to run down into a train station and repeat the MTA’s message, take his picture and post it to social media. (See here)

Our taxes pay for this low level of politics! Last year, Senator Gounardes said he was getting help for the homeless people riding on the R train, yet they are still riding the train.
Other people also noticed the R train is 20+ minutes and sent me a photo.
