October 22, 2023If You Smell Plastic in Bay Ridge Today…Stop & Store on 63rd Street Had a Fire

If you smell fire in Bay Ridge today, it is because there was a 3 Alarm fire at the Stop and Stor storage place on 63rd Street between 5th & 6th Avenue in Sunset Park.

The storage place had 300 e-bikes and e-scooters in two storage unit.

Channel 2 News
Three ebikes burst into flames and Channel 1 News said the sprinkler system in the storage unit was not made to put out an electrical fire.
Why are e-bikes/scooters allowed to be stored in a public storage facility when we know how dangerous they batteries are. One firefighter had to be sent to the hospital. One hundred and forty firefighters were present and it took hours to put out the fire.

Fourteen people are dead from e-bikes that went on fire and not one person in NYC has taken immediate action to stop the fifteen person from dying!

In some videos, the people sat down on the street.
At this point, we should have seen local Palestinian leaders stepping up. But there were none.
Who has the respect and authority to speak with the protesters? There has to be someone here who is laying low. There are many organizations who could have invited the protesters to have some soup and bread for dinner.

The police were determined to keep the protesters away from the BQE because at the last rally, they entered the highway and held up traffic.

Some people were put into the white police bus to be arrested/detained because they would not get out of the street.
