Gounardes Was at The Mayor’s Presser on Crime…Even Though He Never Talks About Crime
Yesterday, Carvel was robbed in the early afternoon. Senator Andrew Gounardes didn’t say or do anything.
Gounardes didn’t tweet about the robbery, and he didn’t go visit the shop to see if they were alright. He has no solutions for our community.
But there are plenty of ridiculous graphics being made:
And sadly, many of you are fooled by the graphics.
Today, Mayor Adams is on television talking about the Times Square Assault with the NYPD and the migrants. Gounardes is in the back of the mayor nodding along as if he has always spoken out against crime.
Andrew Gouanardes never mentions crime. That’s why a lot of people think he doesn’t live in this community.
Isn’t everyone tired of these publicity stunts? Why won’t this senator work for the community and get things done for the community?
Gounardes held a meeting about taxes, but only announced the meeting this morning. There was no video for the meeting, but I asked him to post it. I doubt he will as Gounardes has not been good about speaking out for Bay Ridge home owners.

February 13, 2024Did You Want A Cannabis Store Here, Bay Ridge?
An applicant for a new cannabis dispensary was at Community Board 10‘s Police and Public safety meeting tonight.
Community Board 10’s Police and Public safety committee never talks discusses policing, even though a police officer was present at tonight’s meeting over Zoom. This committee only discusses liquor licenses for businesses and cannabis dispensaries in our neighborhood. (See video)
The new dispensary is being planned for at 8610 – 4th Avenue.
The owner of the property wrote a letter that this store has a month-to-month lease and he will be renting to this cannabis dispensary owner if she gets approved for a license.
This dispensary would not be 1000 feet away from another dispensary that already applied for a license, so this location would not be approved unless the other dispensary was denied.
This shop would be open each day from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm – 70 hours a week.
Senator Andrew Gounardes voted in favor of cannabis being sold in NY. Gounardes has not taken action to close the illegal dispensaries throughout our community.

February 13, 2024Parc Oasis Restaurant is Opening in Bay Ridge
Parc Oasis Restaurant will be opening at 8703 – 5th Avenue. For many years this location was Lonestar Bar. The restaurant owner said at the Community Board 10 meeting that his brother owns the building!
There is a Parc Oasis on 11th Avenue between 64th and 65th Street already. (See their menu here) At the Community Board 10 Meeting, the owner said they serve oysters (and I believe he said lobster rolls).
A local business owner spoke at a CB 10 meeting because he was glad this location was going to be filled by a new restaurant! We are glad too!

February 13, 2024Uncut Bar and Restaurant is Coming to 3rd Ave.
Uncut Bar and Restaurant is opening at 7107 – 3rd Avenue. They applied for a liquor license and presented at Community Board 10 tonight.
This is where Glow Thai Restaurant used to be. This business was transferring the liquor license from Glow Thai to Uncut Bar and Restaurant.
This is a very small place. It can fit 10 people at the bar and 30 people in the dining area.

February 13, 2024Carvel in Bay Ridge Was Robbed This Afternoon
A man robbed Carvel at 8612 3rd Avenue this afternoon around 2:00 pm. He took cash – not ice cream. It’s listed as 8312-3rd Avenue, but it is on 3rd between 86th and 87th Streets. (Source)
The 68th Precinct police are investigating.
I went to see if Senator Andrew Gounardes was as upset as I was with this robbery. No…..no Andrew Gounardes wrote this ridiculous tweet to his political friends on social media….no mention of the robbery. I

February 13, 2024RIP Dale Singer – Killed By Bricks in Sunset Park
Dale Singer, a 74-year-old woman in Sunset Park was killed by falling bricks from her home at 5402 6th Avenue around 12:30 pm today. (See News)

Dale Singer was shoveling the on the stairs of the building she lived in when she was hit by the loose bricks.

February 11, 2024Man Stabbed By Teens on 72nd St. & 12th Ave.
Around 5:00 pm, a man was stabbed on 72nd Street and 12th Avenue by some teens. Thankfully his injuries are not life-threatening. (Info)
The police are searching for five boys around 14-15 years old, who fled on foot towards 11th Avenue.
