February 18, 2024Protest Against the Casino in Coney Island 2/19
In Coney Island, they community is fighting against a casino called “The Coney” trying to setup in their area.
“The Coney” is having a Lunar New Year event at Park Asia tomorrow. Brooklynites are joining together to protest and fight back against the casino that people don’t want in Brooklyn.
Crime has increased in Brooklyn. Can you imagine how many robberies would happen if a casino was put in the area?

February 18, 2024Reoccurring Nonsense on 58th St. Bet. 8th & 9th
This morning the police went to 58th Street and 8th Avenue because there was a report of a person with a weapon.
The police saw this as a reoccurring incident and cancelled the response services.
Poor 58th Street has to deal with this “reoccuring situation.”

February 18, 2024Atlantic Terminal Mall is Enforcing the Under 18 Not Permitted Without an Adult Rule
The Atlantic Terminal Mall on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn always had a rule that shoppers under 18 needed to be accompanied by an adult, but the rule was not enforced. (Story)
Now the mall is enforcing the “under 18 not permitted without an adult rule.”
The Target store at that location also requires under 18 year old shoppers to be with an adult!

February 17, 2024The Coney Island Casino Is Having a Lunar New Year Event in Bay Ridge
I hope someone goes to this event, takes pictures and reports back to us what is going on.
This event was shared to me by a parent. When I saw the Coney logo, I was so annoyed.
We don’t need anyone else selling out Brooklyn! What happened to parents acting like parents?
If you do go, when you leave could you tell them Coney Island doesn’t need a casino.

February 17, 2024One Shed On 3rd Avenue Was Taken Down – Rats
Lou G. shared these videos of a shed being torn down and the huge rats running away from it! This is Ralph the rat, whose been living in Bay Ridge for three years:
If another pandemic comes, I’d say put up the sheds. But if the world is okay, let’s not use these ever again.
If you have a shed, take it down and let our area be cleaned well.

February 17, 2024Glass Broken on the Door of Olives & Pita Greek Restaurant in Bay Ridge
Around 2:00 am this morning, the glass on the door to Olives and Pita Greek Restaurant at 7720 – 3rd Avenue were broken.
The man who broke in was a former tenant in the apartment on the second floor. He broke in so he could get to the apartment and get his belongings.
The 68th Precinct Police caught him and arrested him. He got a desk appearance ticket and is out.

A neighbor on 67th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway shared that her car window was broken and steering column was damaged overnight.
She saw other cars had broken into and robbed as well.
