September 1, 2024ATM Hours at 86th Street Bank – Dyker Heights

Chase Bank at 1640 86th Street posted the hours for using the ATM machines in their vestibule. Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm. Saturday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm. Closed on Sunday.

This bank has a drive through, but that’s only open when the bank is open as well.
This was probably done because homeless people were sleeping in the vestibule.

August 31, 2024Man Entered House for Sale in Dyker Heights – Police Brought Him Out!

Photo from Emerson G’s Video (Here)
A man entered a house he didn’t own on 74th Street between 13th and 14th Avenues. The house is being sold.
The police came quick and seven officers took the man out in cuffs. Go NYPD and Dyker neighbors! (Oh yeah, don’t forget to say -> Crime is Down).

Photo from Emerson G’s Video (Here)
Emerson G. shared the video to remind neighbors to lock their doors because people are lurking around. Also keep your eye on homes which are being sold – report anything strange to the NYPD.

August 31, 2024Shooting on 90th Street and Ft. Hamilton in Bay Ridge Today

Around 2:30 pm, the Citizen App showed that there was a shooting on 90th Street and Ft. Hamilton Parkway. (See here)
The police were there for a few hours! Councilman Brannan was seen in the area talking to the police.
Senator Gounardes did not mention the shooting on Facebook or Twitter (X).
Tonight in a private Facebook group, Councilman Brannan shared that shots were fired in an apartment and arrests were made.

Brannan did not share this information on his own Facebook page, so you wouldn’t see that information if you followed him. Communication from the politicians in our area is terrible.
Around 5:00 pm, there was another Citizen Alert. (See here) Brannan did not comment on that.
Oh yeah….crime is down. You have to say it in Bay Ridge to negate that your neighbors are shooting each other.
