Sabor de Colombia Restaurant and Bakery From Sunset Park Is Coming to Bay Ridge
Sabor de Columbia is opening on the corner of 3rd Avenue and 71st Street (7026 – 3rd Avenue). Sabor de Columbia means “Flavor of Colombia.”
The original Sabor de Colombia Restaurant and Bakery is on 5th Avenue and 46th Street in Sunset Park. People love the restaurant because it has authentic Columbia food and it is affordable. (See pictures of the food)
Good luck to the new owners!!
This storefront location has not had a lot of luck. I think someone needs to put some blessings and holy water on this location. Most recently this storefront was Spice Szechuan, Asian cuisine.
Before that this location was:
1) Brooklyn Bay Seafood –
2) Ginny’s 45 to $9 Restaurant – Nice lady
3) Mama’s Greek Restaurant
4) Pashazade Turkish Restaurant
5) Water Grill
6) Barracuda (Seafood restaurant) — I remember it being there.

Bunch of Pigeons…Not What It Looked Like

I thought I had captured the most beautiful sun on the 68th Street Pier. When I got home and looked at the picture, it looked nothing like the pigeon mess above.

Thanksgiving Flowers at Ben’s Florist – Bay Ridge
Ben’s Florist at 9518 – 4th Avenue (across the street from St. Pat’s) has some nice flowers for Thanksgiving. The Fall colors and the different textures make this bouquet unique.
These are bright and sunny, but they don’t have Thanksgiving vibes.
They are tall and pretty – good for a table where a lot of people will be talking.
These plants are nice because they last long after Thanksgiving.

Today Justin Brannan Spoke Out Against Congestion Pricing, Why Did He Remain Silent All This Time?
If you don’t like the City of Yes Plan, you can thank Councilman Justin Brannan. Marcia Kramer said on her the news on CBS that Brannan negotiated the City of Yes plan. The real estate industry loves the City of Yes plan, but most people don’t.

While Senator Andrew Gounardes and Bobby Carroll, two state senators in Brooklyn, pushed congestion pricing on NYC, Justin Brannan never spoke out against Gounardes or Carroll or the Congestion Pricing charges.

President Biden is Visiting Staten Island – 11/25
President Joe Biden and the First Lady are visiting the Coast guard in Staten Island on November 25th in the afternoon.
Staten Island Borough President, Vito Fossella announced that Father Capodanno Boulevard is closed, but didn’t mention President Biden’s visit.
The President and First Lady are having Friendsgiving Diner with the Coast Guard at Fort Wadsworth. (News)
