Brooklyn Seltzer Delivery

When I was a kid, I never could understand why people like seltzer. Now I drink it all the time and find it funny when people notice it.
I used to get deliveries from Ronny the Seltzer Man, but Ronny Beberman stopped delivering in 2006 due to an accident.
A friend gave me a Soda Stream, but the machine isn’t as good as the fresh stuff Ronny delivered.
Kenny Gomberg became the Seltzer man in Brooklyn. PBS did a special on him.
Kenny Gomberg, the third-generation owner of the Gomberg Seltzer Works bottles seltzer at 60 pounds per square inch., thick-walled glass bottles can hold that pressure. Plastic soda bottles, like the ones in grocery stores and the ones I use with my carbonator, cannot. (source) *

Gomberg Seltzer Works evolved into the Brooklyn Seltzer Boys in 2013 when Alex Gomberg modernized and moved the family business to a new location in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn.
Eli Miller was a seltzer delivery man and even had a children’s book written about him.

Car Fire on 5th Avenue in Sunset Park
This afternoon, the firemen had to put out a car fire outside of George’s Restaurant on 5th Avenue and 58th Street.
What is causing all of these car fires? Are they electric cars with problems or are people leaving lit blunts in their vehicles?

26-Year-Old Stabbed on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge
A 26-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach on 3rd Avenue and 73rd Street in Bay Ridge right before 2:00 pm today.
The man was brought to the hospital. No one was arrested. (News)

At 1:00 pm today, a car drove down the street on the sidewalk – so dangerous! This block has had a problem with speeding for awhile. Residents wanted a speed bump.

RIP 33-Year-Old Man – Died on 88th Street
Yesterday, there were police and emergency vehicles all over 88th Street and 3rd Avenue.
A 33-year-old man was found dead in the driveway at 313 – 88th Street off 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge. He died of natural causes – he may have had a heard attack.
The fast departure from Earth to Heaven was because God called him home. I saw the man’s picture and he’s a beautiful person. He was so young!
Prayers for this man’s family and friends.
RIP.

Vineland Playground on Shore Road and 94th Street finally opened. This park’s opening kept being delayed, but the children will be glad that it is finally open and everything is new.

Tashia Holmes – Missing from NJ – In Brooklyn?
Update: Tashia Holmes was found by a NYC detective.
Tashia Holmes is a mother from New Jersey, She has been missing since July 1, 2024. She was discharged from NY Presbyterian Hospital on 68th in Manhattan and sent to a shelter in Brooklyn, without her family being alerted. She is not dangerous. (Story here)
Some people wrote on Facebook that they thought they saw Tashia on 4th Avenue between 56th Street and 60th Street in Sunset Park.
Tashia’s fiancé came to Brooklyn and looked in that location. Every time that a sighting of Tashia is reported, her fiancé travels to New York to look for Tashia, but she is nowhere to be found.
Please keep your eyes open for Tashia. She is 35-years-old. She is 5’5″ and 100 lbs. She has red hair and hazel eyes. Call the police if you see Tashia.
Her fiance, Richard (see here) asked that if anyone sees her, take a photo and send it to him 908 510 7375 or 862-477-0092.
Hope Alive is on this case, so hopefully they are able to get this mother home to her family.
