God speaks to me all the time through the television, computer and radio

Since I have such a thick skull, God needs to yell the messages through my television, radio and computer. As I read blogs, listened to the radio and watched television, God told me to stop fearing death and life. Live like there are many tomorrows because He has big plans for me. Biblical verses assured me that God does not want this to remain one of my fears. Yes, I see and hear the messages – Thank you for loving me.

Thoughts on death

I figure that maybe writing about death will help.

 I absolutely fear death. I don’t fear God, heaven or an afterlife.

I fear leaving or being without all that I love. I fear the time that I have left here on earth isn’t long enough to achieve and do what my heart wants to do.  Thoughts of dying come to me often and although I am sure people talk about it often and it is on television often, lately it’s been on more often than I care to hear.

Deep breath. I need to get ready for tomorrow. God please heal me and ease my fear – for it’s in Him that I have life. I know tomorrow will be a new day.

The hard part of being a teacher

As a middle school teacher, I have many really great days and a few days which aren’t great. Students at my school work very hard to achieve good grades. Once in awhile I will have a student who doesn’t want to do their work, but usually that comes from the student having a problem at home.

For the past month. I have been strugging with this one student. I am just not getting through to him this year. Please God give me the patience and understanding to help move this child past his challenging time. Please help me show him love and understanding.

Christmas Eve

Last night Karen and I went shopping from 10:00 PM until 2:30 AM. Lord and Taylor’s had hardly anyone in it. The Queens mall was packed. There wasn’t really anything that we wanted in the mall, but we wanted to see if people were really shopping and going to the mall at that time.

I wrapped just a few present this afternoon, as I wrapped most as soon as I purchased them.  :)

I am looking forward to a week of hanging out with my babies :) and relaxing.

It’s Almost Christmas!

Christmas is in just two short days. Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas Eve. As a child, this wasn’t a day we celebrate. Now I love celebrating it.  Plenty of cooking to be done!

Today is Christmas

I choose a name from the NY Cares List. I got an 11 year old girl who requested a DS,  a game for the DS and a password diary. Shopping for this girl, made me happy. When the presents arrived, I was so excited to wrap them for her. I went to the bookstore and bought Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul because I hoped it would bring her inspiration when she needed it. I packaged the items and my friend brought the package to the post office.

When it was received by NY Cares, I smiled. Today is Christmas for me. NY Cares gave me the best gift. Merry Christmas to my sweet angel.

Rat has the right to build – Brooklyn officials are blindfolded!

Current Zoning allows Ratner to build as high as he wants to!

 Isn’t that crazy? Markowitz and the Mayor have no limits on Ratner. Does anyone else in Brooklyn have the right to build as high as they want to?

Why is Brooklyn being handed over to this Rat?  I am surprised that no limits have been placed on this fool.
