Enough of Trump!

I’m surprised to see Trump make it this far. I haven’t really discussed Trump because I figured the Republican Party wouldn’t allow him to represent then. I understand there is a lot of racism in the world and that has fired up Trump’s campaign. There are also a lot of people who are angry with our government for not responding in a more forceful way towards terrorism. But the amount of hate this whole election has brought should make educated people say:  “We have had enough of this nonsense. Trump needs to go – Hate will not solve America’s problems.”

To see the newspaper cover show a headline that Trump wants to kill families of terrorists just shows how irrational he is. If someone happens to have a nutcase terrorist in their family then Trump is going to execute the family members of this terrorist.

The Republican Party needs to choose a real candidate – not a reality tv star.

Happy St. Joseph’s Day!

 

I am not Italian, although people always think I am.  I have many Italian friends and of course I love Italian food. Today, March 19th is St. Joseph’s Day and they always bring sfingi or zeppole’s to my house on this day!

 

A  zeppole is an Italian pastry filled with custard cream , while sfingi is a sweet ricotta filling (but I have heard and seen the words used interchangeably – even in a bakery)

Paneantico has good sfingi in Bay Ridge.  

Rocco’s on 4th Avenue also has these pastries.

This collie mix appeared on there today. If I didn’t have a dog, I would go get him. *Most of these pets have rehoming fees (as they should as it keeps away those who are looking for harm pets/use them for testing.

Poison is Being Left Out in Bay Ridge

Poison (believed to be anti-freeze because it is green) is being left on food in Bay Ridge.

A man is captured at 4 AM pulling down a bird feeder, taking out the seed and soaking the seed with the anti-freeze. (see story)

Birds, cats and dogs are being targeted and there have been several deaths already. The police are investigating.
