March 25, 2016Good Friday
OLPH Church – Good Friday Procession. I went last year and I knew I would return this year – 5th Avenue and 59th Street. The procession is amazing and much better than just doing the stations of the cross in the church. Many churches throughout Brooklyn do processions like this today. I know some older Italian people visit an odd number of churches to pray in today.

Jenkinson’s has tickets for half price this weekend so it’s a good time to buy tickets.
Jenkinson’s is a great place to go with your family – take a look. It’s on the Jersey Boardwalk and it’s a great place to go and play because there are rides, a lot of arcade games, restaurants and a aquarium. It’s a great place to go for a quick getaway weekend!
We always get our tickets in the Spring for the Summer because it’s half off.

March 25, 2016Happy Anniversary
It’s our anniversary today. We went out last night and started celebrating because today is Good Friday. We always go to a place we have never been. Lee immediately didn’t like the decor or menu so he doubted that the food was going to be good. The food was amazing and we had such a good time talking.
I am amazed at how many years we have been together and how fast time goes. Thank God for blessing me with Lee.

March 21, 2016Why is the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Partnering with Companies Which Don’t Help Brooklyn?
AND WHY IS THE BROOKLYN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MAKING AN ENDORSEMENT TOWARDS CHARTER SCHOOLS?
Someone needs to look into the politics of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Employees of the Chamber were recently in Albany. I’ve seen them in Albany before.
This time, the public was told that the chamber was there to showcase Brooklyn Companies.
On page 8 of this document, the Chamber of Commerce is supporting Golden’s bill for Education Tax Investment Credit (for 90% credit – see bill here). Vouchers aren’t legal and last year Golden and others tried to push this bill as well. WHAT THE HECK IS THE CHAMBER DOING DISCUSSING THIS?
This is not the first time I have seen the Chamber representative in Albany.
2) The Brooklyn Chamber has AirBnB as a member. Linda Rosenthal wrote a bill about AirBnB because she saw the problem!
3) The Brooklyn Chamber was present a meeting to discuss eminent domain of a Coney Island property. The City of NY had representatives there through another office, so why was the Chamber there? Eminent domain is not supposed to be used to seize private property for another business’ use. Why was a representative speaking against the Brooklyn business owner who owned the land.
4) The Brooklyn Chamber has Cars2Go as a member of there group. Parking is a commodity in Brooklyn and yet Cars2Go can use our streets as their parking lot. Something isn’t right here.
Something doesn’t seem right here.

March 21, 2016Thoughts
Today was the St. Patty’s Day Parade in Bay Ridge. And although I love everything about St. Patty’s Day, but today is March 20th – brother’s birthday.
Phil passed away four years ago….it doesn’t feel that long ago. I’m really bad at death and I still feel such sadness when I think of my brother. Time heals all wounds doesn’t work for some people I guess.
He lived a good life and did what he needed to do here.
RIP Phil – until we meet again.
