If you missed the NYC School Crossing Guard hiring hall on August 21st, don’t worry. You can still apply.
There are currently jobs for crossing guards at schools in the precincts in the chart below.
If you don’t know what precinct is yours, go here and check. Then you just go into the precinct and ask them for a school crossing guard application. Fill it out and give it in! If your precinct isn’t listed, go to your local precinct anyway and fill out the school crossing guard application. Some people don’t like the job right away or they take another job and there are constantly vacancies for these jobs! Good luck!

August 18, 2017Bay Ridge Republican Candidates Will Be on Errol Lewis Tonight
Errol Lewis from Channel 1 News announced at 12 pm today that he was having four Republican candidates on his show, Road to City Hall tonight at 7 pm. I went to check the social media accounts of 3 our of 4 candidates. Only one of three announced on Facebook that he would be on Lewis’ show (Capano announced 4 hours ago – see here).
Why didn’t the others tell us?

Little Forno Restaurant is set to open in Bay Ridge where Petit Oven was at 276 Bay Ridge Avenue. Petit Oven closed this past January.
September 2017 – Little Forno is reviewed in the Reporter.
Petit Oven and Little Forno – same name with a play on words – Petit means little in French. Forno mean oven in Italian. We love the clever name.
But the similarities to the old place don’t stop there. Two women owned Petit Oven – one was a chef and one was a manager. Two men, who are cousins own Little Forno – again, one is a chef and one is a manager. Find out about Stephen Gonzalez and Christopher Salmonese here. Welcome to the neighborhood, Little Forno!
