Pam Harris’ Office in Bay Ridge Was Decorated After the Indictment

Pam Harris’ office in Bay Ridge was decorated by residents who are tired of crooked politicians. (Story)

Pam Harris Bay Ridge Office After Indictment

When will Councilman Mark Treyger be investigated for giving Harris the money?  Treyger KNEW what was going on (it was all over the news and web) and Treyger continued to give Harris money.

Pam Harris Needs to Step Down. Mark Treyger Needs Mentoring

NBC Story

Pam Harris, the Assemblywoman for part of Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Coney Island was indicted today. See the indictment here.  WOOHOO! In August 2016, journalists proved Harris lied when she ran for office

NY Daily News

During the election, when the news came out about Harris, neither she or Treyger were apologetic. Harris blamed Hurricane Sandy and cried that she had breast cancer. Treyger played dumb and didn’t apologize for misappropriating funds to Harris. If they were honest people, they would have returned the money.

NY Post

Pam Harris and Mark Treyger loved throwing the neighborhood crumbs so they could take pictures and look like they were working hard. (See here)

CBS

NYC Councilman Mark Treyger continued to fund the Assembly woman. Since Treyger was not following up with the not-for-profit,  greed took over.

Treyger owes Brooklyn residents an apology because he continued to give out money even when he saw how it was used the year before (Harris took 15 children and four adults on a cruise. They raised $6500, but where did the rest of the money come from?)

NYC Council should assign a mentor to Treyger as he doesn’t understand funding and transparency needed for his job.

Mark Treyger Pamela Harris

I contacted Melissa Mark Vivierto, NYC Council Speaker  through a letter and phone calls when Councilman Treyger failed to act and Vivierto didn’t do a thing.  NYC Council doesn’t feel they need to be transparent to residents.

We contacted Scott Stringer, the NYC Comptroller and Stringer didn’t investigate – not quite the watchdog of NYC.

Pam Harris was indicted on eleven charges. Harris should step down because she attempted to obstruct the Grand Jury’s investigation WHILE SHE WAS AN ELECTED OFFICIAL…..the rules don’t apply to her.

I cheered today because whatever is hidden in the dark will always come out in the light.  The Daily News Sandy Scam-Bag cover:

Here’s the charges Pammy was indicted for:

  • Two counts of wire fraud
  • One count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud
  • Four counts of making false statements
  • Two counts of bankruptcy fraud
  • One count of witness tampering
  • One court of conspiracy to obstruct justice

Pam Harris’ case starts on July 23rd. They said they will be able to do the case in two weeks. I’ll be off and be able to stop in to see it!

Metro: Harris indicted on corruption

Sunday January 14th’s Daily News said, “Pam Harris was arrested for stealing.”   Pam Harris doesn’t get a lulu – it’s only because she is a newcomer though.

Councilman Brannan’s Shovels of Shame List

Councilman Justin Brannan knows that national chain stores and eateries don’t always shovel their sidewalks in Bay Ridge.

Brannan has started a Shovels of Shame list and legislation to get national chains involved in communities where small Mom and Pops shop owners always shovel. Brannan knows that his community of Bay Ridge has a large elderly population, as well as families with many small children – so this matters.

Brannan has a great sense of humor and will be calling the businesses out on social media with this logo over pictures of storefronts with sidewalks that haven’t been shoveled.  His initial post with this logo says, “Come at me Bro.”

While I am all for calling a business out, I am not going to link to Brannan’s first victim yet because these businesses need a little time to get on board and understand that Brannan is pretty well linked in this community.

Ultimately, shoveled sidewalks keep business flowing, so businesses see the benefit. On snow days people love to get out of their homes, pick up snacks and enjoy the day in the neighborhood.

Barkan Advocates for Sidewalk To Be Plowed – Golden’s Staffer Argues Against It

ross barkan

Ross Barkan tweeted that NYC should plow sidewalks. In Bay Ridge, where there is a large elderly population, this is a FANTASTIC  IDEA!

Senator Marty Golden’s staffer, John Quaglione argued against Bay Ridge having sidewalks cleaned because it would increase property tax.  Quaglione didn’t say a word when his boss, Marty Golden wrote a bill which gave huge tax breaks to Manhattan developers and everyone in NYC is paying more because of Golden’s bill for his developer friends.

Quaglione should have taken the idea to his boss before shooting it down with negativity. But that’s what happens when someone is in a position too long!

Bay Ridge resident, Dn Helleix fired back at John Quaglione:

NYC Department of Sanitation wasted money designing and creating FIVE mascots and also hiring actors to wear the costumes. NYC has money to purchase plows to do sidewalks and Bay Ridge would love to be the test site. I don’t know why the Commissioner, Kathryn Garcia would waste money or time on mascots, when the city has so many needs.

This past year, Bay Ridge had so much trouble with pickups because Garcia used small trucks and the sanitation men couldn’t pick up furniture with the smaller trucks. In addition, the sanitation department is forcing residents in Bay Ridge to pull their garbage down the block in front of their neighbors home.

450 Households in Bay Ridge Without Water Temporarily…..Got Brown Water?

UPDATE: 450 households in Bay Ridge are without because the DEP had to shut down the water main on 92nd Street between Colonial and Shore Road due to a leak causing damage.

8:00 PM– DEP has shut off water to buildings near 92 & Shore temporarily in order to expedite repairs.

7:20– Run at the tap until clear, the discoloration is rust, so it won’t taste good enough to drink and it could stain laundry, but it is not hazardous.

7:00 PM– DEP emergency crews are on scene of a water main break at 92 & Shore. This is cause of brown water throughout area.

If you have brown water in Bay Ridge, you are not alone.

What is causing the brown water in Bay Ridge?

Mark Treyger is Playing the Blame Game

Treyger has been a councilman for at least four years. There is no reason for him to still be blaming the old administration.  If something isn’t right with a development, Treyger should be stepping up and taking care of it, so it is right for the neighborhood. Yet, we don’t see it. We can see he is posting messages of blame on Facebook.

Mark Treyger Playing the Blame Game

Update: Here’s John Cats Coney Island building 21 story building – 185 feet tall building plans were filed in January 2016 AND YES TREYGER was the Councilman. (more here and here)
