January 12, 2018Talk About Replacing Pam Harris
Kadia Gobia wrote about Pam Harris being replaced. While the Independent Fountainhead blog wasn’t thrilled with the article the article presents information for residents about the current contenders plus a man named Mike Nelson – who the heck is that?
History has shown us that corrupt politicians will continue to retain their seat even after it’s obvious that they have been corrupt and should be decent and step down. I have no doubt that Harris will continue to do nothing for this district while collecting a paycheck and fighting her legal battle. Although she has said she is Not Guilty, we believe in the end, she will admit gilt and accept a plea bargain for a lesser crime.
One thing is clear for the next election, Mark Treyger needs to step back and not recommend anyone. WHY?
a) Because Treyger really pushed for Harris to be Assemblywoman.
b) Treyger continued to fund Harris even after he knew money was being wasted.
c) Treyger stood by as a long-time Coney Island resident was threatened with eminent domain.
Corruption at it’s finest.
Treyger REALLY pushed Harris to the Russian community – we thought it was because he could control her. But did Treyger know about Harris’ Hurricane Sandy money? One thing is for certain the next person applying for this job can’t be Treyger’s buddy.
Four thousand people liked and shared this tweet about the indicted Assemblywoman Pam Harris.
Papers pointed this out in 2016 and it has taken this long for an investigation of Harris. How long will it take for them to investigate Treyger?
We will continue to push for an investigation of Treyger.

January 11, 2018Why Does Corey Johnson Award Corruption?
We’ve known about the corruption for a long time.
Is Corey Johnson so removed from Brooklyn that he doesn’t realize Treyger threw money at his friend, Pam Harris EVEN after so many reports came out about the not-for-profit and a problem with the money
Pam Harris was arrested, but Mark Treyger hasn’t been investigated. Yet, Corey Johnson, the newly elected Council Speaker thought it would be cool to make Treyger the head of the Committee so he gave him the Education Committee. Treyger is being given MORE money to manage when he mishandled the money he had!
Why does NYC Council continue to spiral downward? Why hasn’t the Public Advocate initiated an investigation? The Coney Island Paper shares the funding problems, but NYC Council can’t hear them because they are too busy celebrating Treyger being appointed as the Education Committee Chair.

January 11, 2018It Was Never About the Statues….
During election season last Fall, some candidates acted as if they were concerned about statues of Christopher Columbus being in NYC. And then other pols countered them with, “Don’t touch Columbus.”
But seriously no one cared about the Columbus statues. It was all about publicity. Today it was announced on statue would be moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn. See story
But no one cared today when it was announced the statues of Columbus would stay.
