Fisherman on Shore Road Bike Path

I saw this Irish fisherman’s post about fishing on the Shore Road bike path and thought I would share it here because he highlights of the beauty of Bay Ridge so well. His pictures and videos capture a perfect Spring Day fishing on the Shore Road Bike Path. 

If you watch the video, you will see he catches “some folded up fish” and calls it a prehistoric-looking thing (LOL). Then the fisherman unhooks him and throws him back in for you to catch next – eww!

Open Run Starting May 12th on Shore Road

Community Board 10 spoke about the New York Road Runners Club Open Run in Shore Road Park.

On Saturday mornings starting on May 12th from 9:00 – 10:00 am there will be an open run for all runners.  It will start at  79th Street and Shore Road Park.  Anyone can participate (old, young, etc) and participants can start and stop running anywhere on the route.  You can come alone or with a group. Representatives from the NYRR will be all along the route to keep it secure. This starts on May 12th and will be every Saturday after that. 

For more information about the open run:  Join the New York Road Runners (NYRR) on April 28th at the Bookmark Shoppe at 9:00 am.

• 6) APPROVED New SLA On Premise Application at Circles, 6931 3rd Avenue  The owner has owned and operated Circles for many years, but at this new address. A bakery will be added here. No outdoor use. Pre-recorded music. The owner has a good track record.

Omar Vaid and the #Bluewave2018

Proof that Omar Vaid  has not  been truthful to the #Bluewave:

This woman tweeted that Omar has lived here 10 years. She doesn’t realize that Omar just moved into Bay Ridge. Omar lived in Williamsburg. (Proof from current newspaper).  When I tweeted that to her, she blocked me. She didn’t want to know the truth.

Then Omar Vaid liked her tweet that contained the lie.  Omar didn’t speak the truth because the truth doesn’t bring donations.

In November, I tried tweeting Omar Vaid about why he was running in my area, rather than in his area of Williamsburg. Omar Vaid did not respond.   I’ve had this happen before so I realized Omar Vaid was not running to represent me.   

Rosie O’Donnell donated $2700 to Vaid’s campaign. Why didn’t she look at the CD11 book that the Fight Back Bay Ridge group made (see here). Every community has a Fight Back Group now. 

If Rosie had done her research, she would have found that Omar Vaid chose not to participate in the survey.  It was free and open to all candidates. Either he didn’t want us to know his views on a particular question or he knew he wasn’t running as a candidate in this election and is just running an online campaign.

Tonight a man who supports Omar Vaid didn’t even know our neighborhood was called Bay Ridge. The man admitted to being from North Carolina. Why is he interfering in our election?
