NYPD Officers Buy Wheelchair
A woman’s wheelchair was stolen outside of 7402 Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge. NYPD Officers went and purchased her a new wheelchair. These officers are sweethearts! The officers are Yaser Shohatee and Mathew Slavin
Sadly the article doesn’t say if the police officers are from the 68th Precinct.
The journalist thought it was important to name Marty Golden for letting the woman sit in his office. Strangely, no editor corrected that. Senator Golden should tell the author to remove his name and put in the officers precinct instead. Why didn’t Senator Golden send his staff to get a wheelchair for Golden so the officers could get back to their post? Paula Katinas often writes articles in favor of Golden.

April 21, 2018Donald Trump Jr. is Coming to Brooklyn
Why is their graphic so fuzzy?
On May 16th, it looks like Donald Trump Jr. will be at the Kings County Republican Spring Gala in Brooklyn. The Gala will be held at Dyker Beach Golf Course.
Ted Ghorra, Chairman of the Republicans lost so much credibility in our area when he ran his losing candidate in the last election. John Quaglione admitted to the newspaper that the Republican and Conservative Party made a backroom deal to use a placeholder candidate during the primary so they could stop any interested parties from running in the election.
After the election, Bay Ridge found out that Quaglione was backed by REBNY. REBNY is made up of real estate developers (the same group that are putting up skyscrapers in Coney Island). If Quaglione had won, REBNY would have been all over Bay Ridge. It was disappointing to see Ghorra promoted this candidate to run in our neighborhood.
Nonetheless, Ghorra must be impressed with Donald Trump Jr. to invite him here. We’re not. Like seriously does Ted Ghorra find Donald Trump Jr. inspiring? Would Ghorra want his kids to be like Don Trump Jr.? The other man, Sebastian Gorka is anti-Islam. SMH. I just don’t get it. Why would Ted Ghorra invite someone into this community like this? Why didn’t Ted Ghorra find someone inspiring to invite to this event in our community?
Why didn’t they plan this event for Senator Golden’s family catering hall?

What happened to the Brooklyn Republican’s home base? Marty Golden didn’t attend the Republican County Convention and Senator Golden’s Republican Teen Club is supporting Michael Grimm, not Dan Donovan.

April 20, 2018West Side Story – Fort Hamilton HS
On Wednesday, May 2nd – Saturday, May 5th, Fort Hamilton High School is putting on Westside Story.
On Friday May 4th, have dinner at Chadwicks (3rd Avenue and 88th Street) and then see West Side Story at 7:00 pm. Friday, May 4 is Theater Night with the FHHS Alumni Association! Dinner includes a salad, entree (chicken, fish or pasta), dessert, soda and coffee/tea. $45 per person.

People are sad and nostalgic when they heard the news that Circle’s Cafe is moving from 6901 3rd Avenue after being in that spot for 40 years.
Circles Cafe is moving to 6931 3rd Avenue into the old Cangianos spot (across the street from the Brooklyn Firefly)
That will liven up that corner! Don’t be sad they are moving – be glad they are staying here in Bay Ridge where they belong. Many years of success, money and happiness to the owners of Circles. We can’t wait to visit the new location!

If you live around Dyker Heights and felt like you haven’t been getting all of you mail, you are probably right. Since 2008, a post office delivery man was keeping some of it because it was just too much mail to deliver. They found 17,000 pieces of mail at his home. Story here
