April 22, 2018Fight Back Bay Ridge Distributes #NotSoGolden Bags for Earth Day
Fight Back Back Ridge highlighted Senator Marty Golden’s failure to move this community forward. Golden could have given every senior citizen fabric bags with his name on it, but instead he just complained.
Fight Back Bay Ridge is giving out 500 of these bags today. They purchased 1200 bags with the hashtag #NotSoGolden to give out! Look at all the happy people with bags.
Volunteers handed out 100 bags at five different locations where voters will have a chance to vote out Senator Golden in November. A flyer was inside: front / back
That man seems to be enjoying his new bag! In Suffolk County they did this successfully. Ireland reduced plastic bags this way many years ago.
In Bay Ridge, people are ready for this change – Fight Back gave out 100 bags in 30 minutes. Way to go Fight Back Bay Ridge!!

Yesterday, a Republican shared the above event with me on Twitter. The Republican Party are having Donald Trump Jr. and Sebastian Gorka at their event. Gorka is anti-Islam. He believes all who practice Islam are radicals. (Source)
There are already people in Bay Ridge who hate others because of their religion. THIS EVENT WILL JUST INCREASE THE HATE.
In our diverse community, Marty Golden should have spoken out against this speaker because he’s not right for this community. But Golden can’t…….Marty Golden doesn’t have the leadership needed to lead a diverse community. Because if he did, Golden would have spoken to his friends who are running this event.
If you were involved in setting up this event, you either don’t live in this community or you are clueless.

On May 4th, 5th and 6th, Fontbonne Hall Academy proudly present the play, “Once Upon a Mattress!”
Join Fontbonne Hall Academy for the Drama Club’s Production of Once Upon a Mattress on May 4th, 5th and 6th. In this musical adaptation of The Princess and the Pea, Princess Winnifred is an ungainly, brash girl competing for the hand of Prince Dauntless, whose domineering mother Queen Aggravain has declared he must marry a “true” princess before anyone else in the kingdom can marry. Hilarity ensues as the entire kingdom tries to get Dauntless and Winnifred down the aisle.

The Belt Parkway going Eastbound was a mess tonight. See here
I know it’s always a mess with traffic and road repair trucks, but tonight there was like twenty emergency response vehicles -> fire trucks, ambulances and police all over the Belt Parkway near Cesear’s Bay. It took 40 minutes to get past it because everyone was stopping and looking. See here

April 21, 2018Staten Islanders Love Michael Grimm
I’ve been saying it for months….Staten Island loves Michael Grimm.
Tonight The Daily News shared that Grimm has a good lead over Donovan in the polls. Grimm is energized and Donovan is not. Grimm loves Trump and Staten Island loves Trump.
Staten Islanders are putting out the money for Grimm, while Donovan is getting money from out of the district (not good).
When newspapers put disgraced before Grimm’s name, Staten Island residents feel Grimm was framed and aren’t bothered by that because “everyone is openly doing it, but isn’t caught.”
I know many former Brooklyn residents who moved to Staten Island and they love Grimm.

April 21, 2018Bay Ridge Libary Closing for Three Months
The Bay Ridge Library at 7223 Ridge Blvd. will be closed from April 28, 2018 to July, 2018 so that the roof can be replaced.
Bookmobile service will be provided on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11am-4pm beginning May 1, 2018.
From Tuesday, May 1 2018, library holds will be available for pick up at the Fort Hamilton Library until Friday, May 18, 2018.
