Marty Golden Refuses to Speak to Residents About Funding for Schools

For several months, Mallory McMahon has tried to meet with Senator Golden to discuss money that hasn’t been given to public schools in our area.

I’ve been writing about this since March 2018. Some schools are owed over a million dollars in NYS funds – McKinley is at almost $2.5 million

Here’s the schools in the area which have not received their funding:

Where did this money go?

New York State owes PS 104 one million, eight hundred thousand dollars. Why hasn’t Senator Golden fought for our schools?

For months, Marty Golden’s staff has cancelled meetings and refuses to reschedule a meeting for McMahon to have a discussion with Senator Golden. Story here 

What’s different about Marty Golden? When did he stop taking resident’s calls about education?

Eric Adams Did Not Speak Up When the Results of #AD46 Weren’t Submitted

Did you see @BPEricAdams speak up about the #AD46 election results not being turned in? NOPE.

Eric Adams has been silent for too long. The election was on Thursday and it’s now Saturday and we still don’t have any election results. Adams is not an advocate of the people. I am glad his term is almost up. Eric Adams should not seek an office as advocate because he has been #PlayingPolitics for too long.

We saw Eric not support the qualified female candidate, Dr. Mathylde Frontus. Adams endorsed his friend, Mark Treyger’s pick because he was asked. Eric Adams did not interview Dr. Frontus before making such a careless endorsement. #Truth

Man Stabbed in Bay Ridge – 5th Ave. 73rd Street

Update 9/17: The police arrested Caleb Apolinaris, 21 and Moises Apolinaris, 44 – both from Bay Ridge for stabbing the 36 year old man.

The NYPD 68th Precinct announced that a man was stabbed on 5th Avenue and 73rd Street this evening, September 14, 2018:

The Citizen App was accurate with the police report tonight. Most times it isn’t accurate.

There are blood stains on the street. Councilman Brannan reported that the suspect was known to the police.

We are glad the victim is alive. 

We’ve had enough violence for awhile – a murder last week  on 93rd Street  and  an attempted rape on August 25th that wasn’t shared with residents until September

Bay Ridge Courier Sold – No More News

It’s a sad day for “the truth in the news” in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Another paper closes down – without warning.  @Brooklyn_Paper has gone dark. Schneps Communications bought CNG and its publications – story here

The Bay Ridge Courier had reporters who printed the truth.

Without that paper, we are stuck with the terrible reporting of the Brooklyn Eagle (although it has been a bit better lately).

Journalism doesn’t work the way it is supposed to in #BayRidge and for years we have been receiving press release politics through the @BklynEagle  How does that work? Politicians like Marty Golden, Nicole Malliotakis, Mark Treyger and other politicians have been sending a report called a press release (with photos) to get printed. The story is printed almost in its entirety and the other side (or what really happened) isn’t investigated. Politicians count on that.

Yeah honest reporting is hard to come by.

Thank God for reporters like Kadia Goba, Julianne Cuba, Julianne McShane and Caroline Spivack who have always given us the truth – even if the truth is ugly. In our neighborhood we hold these reporters in high regard because the politicians have been getting over on the neighborhood for years.

Who Won the Primary Election – Mathylde Frontus or Ethan Lustig-Elgrably

DR FRONTUS WON THE ELECTION…….WITH AND FOR THE PEOPLE

Update 9/14 evening: No new results. Kadia Goba reported  why the votes haven’t been tallied all over the city.

It’s Friday, September 14th, the election between Dr. Mathylde Frontus and Ethan Lustig-Elgrably was not completed. #SomethingIsntRightHere

As of last night Dr. Frontus had 3,060 votes. Ethan had 2,990. There were 1444 blanks (no votes), 7 Void votes and 21 Write-ins.

The election results for three areas were not recorded (Western Coney, NYCHA and Seagate have not all been counted for some reason).
