Fearmonger Gets Caught in Bay Ridge
Update 9/26: The Independent Fountainhead covered the same topic and stated that “organized disinformation” is part of a political campaign! And that blog was right – you can see more fear mongering here.
Be on the alert for those who are trying to fear-monger in the neighborhood.
Today one person posted the picture below and they claimed the picture was taken in a children’s park in Bay Ridge. IT WASN’T….the picture wasn’t even taken in the United States.
A smart person in Bay Ridge sensed that Something Wasn’t Right.
That person found the exact picture posted on this website – this website is for a place which is in the United Kingdom.
The person was called out for posting such nonsense on Facebook and of course the post was then deleted.
Why would someone want to fearmonger around this time of the year? It’s all for politics. There’s an election at the beginning of November. If someone can successfully scare people, then people may vote a certain way in the election.
Stay on alert Bay Ridge – I suspect there will be more fear-mongering in Bay Ridge, to make it seem unsafe in the next few weeks before the election.

September 25, 2018Verrazano Deli in Bay Ridge was Robbed
UPDATE: Councilman Brannan reported that they have the suspect in custody!
Loudlabs announced that Verrazano (one Z) Deli on 92nd and 4th Avenue was robbed around noon today. Their video says the perp is a 64 year old white man with a beard and a white jacket. He had a gun and got the money from the cash register. He fled in a red Nissan.
Obviously they know who the guy is because they know his age. He will be picked up soon.

September 25, 2018Best Dim Sum Near Bay Ridge
Dim sum is inexpensive food that comes in small plates for people to share. Waitresses (sometimes called Dim Sum Ladies) walk around the restaurant with carts containing bamboo containers of the different types of dim sum (like pork buns and shrimp dumplings)
Great Dim Sum places nearby in Brooklyn:
Park Asia 6521 – 8th Avenue – snow white buns – gets crowded right before 10 am. Around 10-11 am they bring out a lot of different choices for dim sum. I went right after they renovated. Most of the staff doesn’t speak English (that doesn’t bother us as I like pointing), but the manager kept an eye on us and kept coming over to check on us and offer us different dim sum plates (in a good way – not in an annoying way)
East Harbor Seafood Palace 714 65th Street – *gets very busy because Anthony Bourdain visited this place in 2009 and made it popular. The food is good, but I really loved Park Asia and the manager’s service.

It’s great to have political clubs.
Is this group of Republicans not accepted by Ted Ghorra’s Republican Club? Why can’t they organize within the GOP? Is this the group of Republicans that sided with Grimm and are on the outs with the Republican Party? The Brooklyn GOP’s site has been displaying the ‘Coming Soon’ sign for a long time, so they must need help too.
Any Republican who wants to talk about Marty Golden in this election better be able to explain why he wrote and submitted all of these pay-to-play bills this year.

CITYPARKS STREET HOCKEY – free program for children ages 8 – 12 October 2 – November 8 Meets Weekly
City Parks Foundation, in partnership with the New York Islanders, is offering free, weekly instructional street hockey program for kids ages 8-12 in local neighborhood parks.
