The Parachute Jump in Coney Island went Gold for Sally tonight.
A friend of the family is selling #BeLikeSally memorial tshirts here with the proceeds gong to the family. (There’s music on the page so lower the sound if you are near someone sleeping). They are hoping people will wear gold t-shirts to the Ragamuffin Parade on October 13th (starts at 11:00 am on 3rd Avenue from 75th to 92nd Street)
There will be a memorial mass at Saint Patrick’s Church in Bay Ridge on Saturday, November 3rd at 2 pm.
The owner of Choc Oh Lot in Bay Ridge has been sooooooo sweet. He sold Sally Sunshine pops with 100% of the proceeds going to the Kabel Family.

September 26, 201868th Precinct Shout Out – And Some Fear Mongering in Bay Ridge
There have been some incidents of violence in Bay Ridge recently. I have to say the 68th Precinct was on top of each and every situation. Where a crime was committed, the 68th Precinct Officers have made arrests rapidly. It’s good to see them taking care of the community and keeping Bay Ridge safe.
The 68th Precinct arrested:
Strangely, yesterday I shared about an incident of fear-mongering. Today, I found another incident of fear-mongering over here. This new political group was formed this month and seem to be causing problems.
The group is supporting Senator Golden, Nicole Malliotakis, Dan Donovan and Steve Saperstein. Malliotakis and Golden are usually grateful to the NYPD, so is this group controlled by Saperstein’s team? I have tweeted out to Saperstein about one of his staffers, but he did not respond.
I don’t think the police at the 68th Precinct would appreciate #TeamMartyGolden pushing fear onto the neighborhood like this. Many followers of the new Republican Club account are Senator Golden’s staffers or alternate accounts of those staffers.
This blog just reported that fear mongering would be used and it was right!

September 26, 2018The Property Tax Bill Nicole Malliotakis Didn’t Write Last Spring
Nicole Malliotakis is up to the same old tricks. Except this time, I am caught her at the start of the trick before she has been able to work her press release magic. The Staten Island Press and Kings County Politics have run similar stories about the bill Nicole Malliotakis didn’t put through this past Spring.
The Brooklyn Reporter/Eagle is next. Do you think that someone will actually question the press release? I don’t.
Why is no one questioning: Why didn’t Nicole Malliotakis put through this bill last Spring when the Assembly was in session?
Malliotakis is the Assemblywoman for part of Bay Ridge and part of Staten Island. Last year, she made a play for mayor and lost pretty bad.
In January 2017, Malliotakis’s name is on legislation for property tax (but Malliotakis didn’t carry the bill and it wasn’t voted on).
Marty Golden and Nicole Malliotakis did submit legislation for ebay sellers, but nothing for local mom and pop stores. Hasn’t Nicole seen the empty storefronts in Bay Ridge?
After the election, Nicole Malliotakis wasn’t able to hit the ground running. Malliotakis knew that there were so many things wrong in NYC. As a lawmaker, she could have made a difference. Why didn’t she write bills to change things? Property Taxes and NYCHA were part of Malliotakis’ platform…..so how did she do nothing to improve the situation for any New Yorker?
It’s Fall 2018 and Nicole Malliotakis is facing an election against a progressive named Adam Baumel. Did Malliotakis all of a sudden get some news that Baumel has a property tax bill to help his Bay Ridge neighbors. What fired up Nicole Malliotakis to say she has a bill NOW?
