Remembering Sweet Sally Sunshine

 

Sweet Sally Sunshine’s father, Matt Kabel, shared about his daughter for years. He wrote about her final days here. It was so heartbreaking to read. My family lost my brother to neuroblastoma many years ago – he was 7 years old. Hopefully, one day there will be cures for these diseases.

 

The Parachute Jump in Coney Island went Gold for Sally tonight.

 

 

 

 

A friend of the family is selling #BeLikeSally memorial tshirts here  with the proceeds gong to the family. (There’s music on the page so lower the sound if you are near someone sleeping). They are hoping people will wear gold t-shirts to the Ragamuffin Parade on October 13th (starts at 11:00 am on 3rd Avenue from 75th to 92nd Street)

 

 

There will be a memorial mass at Saint Patrick’s Church in Bay Ridge on Saturday, November 3rd at 2 pm.

 

 

The owner of Choc Oh Lot in Bay Ridge has been sooooooo sweet. He sold Sally Sunshine pops with 100% of the proceeds going to the Kabel Family.
