October 19, 2018Kings County Republican Party Scared Man
The Kings County Republican Party sent out a robocall. The robocall is the voice of a very scared man. I asked Kadia Goba from Bklyner about the recording and of course she had it and she shared it online for everyone.
The robocall speaker doesn’t:
- Identify himself (anyone reliable would say their name)
- Speak about why he is really calling (Senator Golden is employing the man who called the Proud Boys to the Manhattan Club? Are other Republicans attacking Senator Golden?)
- Doesn’t say which candidates are under attack
Marty Golden is NOT a common sense candidate. Any Republican supporting Golden who hasn’t had a bill for Bay Ridge property owners and who has done NOTHING for our small business owners in Bay Ridge has no common sense.
The Republican Party needs to let Golden go and then run a real candidate. Dan Donovan has been sleeping in his Albany office. He accepted money from pharmaceutical executives who have been connected to fueling the opioid crisis in New York City.
Nicole Malliotakis has been doing nothing for our community except putting press releases in the paper claiming she is doing things. She just said she had a new property tax bill. She did not submit a property tax bill. In 2017, there was a bill that got no traction. Malliotakis ran for Mayor last year and saw all of the problems in the community and didn’t do anything to fix one problem…..except write about Mayor de Blasio.
Defend your way of life??? What’s the matter with you? That’s a dumb statement.
I don’t know any men in this community who are scared like this. We are a pretty tough group of Brooklynites. Whose voice is this of? Ted Ghorra should issue a real statement about this nonsense. Making calls throughout our community acting like sky is falling is nonsense.

It kills me to see Sunset Park being stepped on by NYC politicians and the EDC. I am glad Menchaca is term-limited and Sunset Park will have a chance for real representation soon.
The Brooklyn Army Terminal had a block party with Busta Rhymes.
Why is the Brooklyn Army Terminal being used for “a block party / concert?” Whose authorizing tax money to pay for this?

WoW Marty Golden isn’t speaking to the press after the Proud Boys incident and his support for his staffer who invited the Proud Boys to the Manhattan Republican Club.
The title of Julianne Cuba’s article is: “Golden defends staffer with gang ties”
Why hasn’t Bay Ridge heard from Senator Golden or Nicole Malliotakis? When leaders can’t speak out against violence, they are no longer leaders.

For years Marty Golden served on the MTA Review Board. Why didn’t he help fix the MTA Problem?
BTW, when I contacted Senator Golden’s office for help with a small problem, I got his staffer who wasn’t interested in helping me. Read about my experience here. At no point did Senator Golden contact me.

October 17, 2018Power is Out in Some Parts of Bay Ridge
Some residents in Bay Ridge have lost power – no electricity. The power is out in the mid 70’s and Shore Road. Many residents in the apartment buildings there are sharing that they are in the dark. Some buildings have only lost half power.
What’s going on. Who else lost power? Leave it in the comments because the Con Edison Map isn’t showing that a lot of users are without power.
Go to bed, Bay Ridge. It’s a sign you need rest.

Orion’s Belt is the name of a new bar coming to Bay Ridge. It’s going to be at 8015 5th Avenue where No Quarter Bar was located. Justin Mitchell of Bklyner explains Community 10’s doubts over the bar’s location in Bay Ridge.
They are having difficulty getting their liquor license. I love CB10 as the people on the Community Board in Bay Ridge really speak up for the residents here. Brian Kieran is amazing and he is always spot on during the meetings. Kieran said, “I, like other people, on the Board, had their reservations. We want to make sure that whoever comes in and says that they’re going to start a new business really, in fact, are starting a new business, they’ll do it responsibly, and they’ll be good neighbors to everyone.”
