1) Urban Steam Lab – 7912 – 5th Avenue (opened March 31, 2019 – looks nice). Science Fiction Mashup (see info and register). April 22- 26th 10:00 am – 3:00 pm $500. For children 8 – 11 years old.

April Vacation Days At The Ridge Creative Center Easter/Passover Break 2019
The Ridge Creative Center is offering a full day arts program for students during the Easter/Passover Break from Monday, April 22nd – Friday, April 26th.
The cost is $70 per day for those registered in our program and $80 for those who are not. Each day will include: a trip, 2 art projects and a snack. Students need to bring their own lunch.
Please note we need 6 children registered per day to open. There is limited space. In order for us to plan appropriately, we are asking parents to register and make payment by April, 12th. Those who cancel are still responsible for payment.
Our themes include:
Flower Power – A trip to Ikea to paint a watering can.
Songkran, Thai New Year – Water Festival – A Trip to a
Thai Restaurant,
Abracadabra – Houdini – A Trip to a Magic Show
Eggstravaganza – A Trip to Eat Frittata
Sakura Matsuri – Japanese Cherry Blossom Celebration:
A Trip to Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Drop off between 9 and 9:30 am. Pick up – 3:30 pm
Late pick up and early drop off available. Please contact us for pricing.
You can register for individual days at $110 per day or for a full 5-day camp for $500. Each day is a new culinary adventure. Kids will make their own Breakfast, Lunch and Snack completely from scratch! But cooking is only part of the fun, children play board games, trivia games, dancing competitions and sing karaoke, all while making new friends.

8) Little Gym on 18 Avenue – Camp for children 3-8 years old. 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Activities all day.
9) Textile Arts Center 505 Carroll Street
Drop off: 9AM Pick up: 5PM Please supply your child with lunch and snack. $125 a day
10) Prospect Gymnastics. $70 a day 8:45 am – 12:30 pm (aftercare available $20 a day) Gymnastics and acrobatics training alongside hip hop dance and arts-n-crafts projects. Campers ages 5-8 will work every morning on gymnastics skills such as handstands & cartwheels as well as acrobatics such as partner tumbling and headstands.
11) Park Slope Day Camp – 339 – 8th Street 8:00 – 4:00 pm $95 Extended Day Available to 6:30 pm – $30 more
12) Construction Kids – Brooklyn Navy Yard. Camp for children 4-9 years old. $150 a day. Extended day available.
13) Backpacks and Binoculars – 110 Schermerhorn Street.PreK to Grade 5. $150 a day – $595 a week. Children explore places in NYC – need a backpack and binoculars. 8:00 – 4 (or 6 pm)
14) Brooklyn Robot Foundry 303 3rd Avenue 347-762-6840 $125 + Materials fee. Kindergarten to 4th grade.
15) Aviator Camp 718-758-7518 or [email protected] For ages 3-14 $75 a day Aviator has a lot of activities – ice skating, gymnastics, arts and crafts, climbing, basketball, soccer and movies as well. Lunch and snack included.
16) Brooklyn Acting Lab – $125 a day
17) BAX Arts Program – Brooklyn Arts Exchange – 421 Fifth Avenue in Park Slope. For children ages 5-11. $95 a day. Extended care available. They also have a program for older children 10 – 14 years old this Spring too!
18) The Brooklyn Strategist 333 Court Street. Full day camp from 9 am – 4 pm for $600 for the entire break or $130 a day and Half day camp as well for $65. Early drop off at 8:30 am for $8 a day or extended day from, 4 pm – 6 pm. Kids will have a blast learning new games (strategy games, D&D, War hammer, MT) and playing old favorites and even designing new ones. Lunch and snacks are included.
19) Geek Forest in Williamsburg for children 6-12 years old Makerspace Camp. – $500. Individual Day $120. Late pickup up to 6 pm $150 for the week.
20) Brooklyn Game Lab – two locations – one for little kids (310 – 7th Avenue) and the other for big kids (479 – 7th Avenue). Play games all day – chess, strategy games and cooperatives games. Children also play outside.

February 28, 2019Does Craig Eaton Blame Ted Ghorra for the Republican Party’s Losses?
YES.
….According to Bob Capano’s article in The Brooklyn Paper with this Craig Eaton quote:
“Ted Ghorra, who was hand-picked to lead the party without even being a member of the county committee and having no prior political experience, had two years to prove his ability to lead the party. The result of his leadership was the devastating loss of two long-time Republican elected officials — Rep. Dan Donovan and state Sen. Marty Golden. It is clearly time for him to go. We need a seasoned political operative who has the knowledge, experience, time, and relationships to bring the Brooklyn GOP back to where it was a few years ago.”
Bob Capano loves stirring the pot.
But Ted Ghorra isn’t to blame for the Republican Party’s losses.
People found out that Marty Golden had changed. people realized there was more to the Congress position than a man whose biggest push was to put Trump’s picture in the Post Office.
Ghorra is in the community doing things her. He knows people want good Republicans who want to do something in government – not just take photos.
While Ghorra leans more to the Trump side of politics, most Ridgites just want our neighborhood taken care of – good schools, safe streets and….lower property taxes. Families want better parks.
Ted Ghorra must realize that there are a lot of Republicans living here who are moderate and are getting annoyed that he keeps running REBNY or developer supported candidates. #Ridiculous
Ghorra should let the new blood in and stop running candates who lost – sometimes they are two-time losers and they keep running!
