The title makes me smile. Senator Gounardes promised to take care of safety around schools.
Can you believe that this was something even debated?
Of course no one likes tickets or the speed cameras – so stop speeding!
When people are drive like no one matters, then laws need to be passed to protect children – especially around schools.
I’m glad we elected Andrew Gounardes for our community.
Each week, Senator Gounardes posts notes about what’s going on in Albany.
It’s good to see him make the government more transparent for this community.

March 18, 2019Three Teens Assault Man in Taco Bell

From Loudlabs Adam Balhetchet: Three teens assaulted an adult male in the head with a bottle. It happened around 11 am Monday, at the Taco Bell on 87th St & 4th Ave, within the confines of the 68th Precinct.
The teens allegedly threw a bottle at the adult male’s head. 911 was called. Two of the teens fled the Taco Bell, one of which ran down towards 3rd Ave.
Subways were checked by police. They arrested one teen. The adult male victim was treated by EMS for a minor laceration to the head. Two teen male perps remain outstanding.

We just sent the wrong message to a lot of preteens in NYC – both the ones accepted to these schools and the ones not accepted. See NYT article

March 18, 2019Target is Coming to Cesear’s Bay
I love Target! Target is going to open where Toys R Us was at Cesear’s Bay. February 2020 is the expected opening date.

This Target is going to be a Super Target (with the grocery section). It is expected to take up the whole Toyrs R Us store, as well a part of the top floor of Kohl’s.
We still have a year before it opens, but I look forward to buying cute things there.
