Sadly, an activist named Alicia Boyd has to fight to keep developers from over building and putting shadows over the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.
Boyd realized that the high rises slated for that area would put shadows over the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Thank goodness for people like Boyd! See the story here

Rafael Espinal has nothing to do with Bay Ridge, yet he keeps tagging our community. He was at a brand new skate park in another part of Brooklyn and he tagged Bay Ridge and other parts of Brooklyn. See here
Has Espinal seen how bad the skate park in Owls Head Park is? Probably not…because why would you tag a community that has a beat up park when you are at a brand new one? I tweeted this.
It doesn’t matter what office he is running for, he’s going to lose. Espinal ran for Public Advocate and he wasn’t good.

Update: El Sanchos re-opened on October 19, 2019! They do not have a liquor license so if you want to drink wine with your dinner wait until they get their license. ** Sanchos is one of the few restaurants in Bay Ridge that is open on Christmas Day. **
There’s a coming soon sign in the window of Sanchos Restaurant at 7410 Third Avenue.
The original owner of Sanchos retired last Fall. Everyone is excited to see this restaurant re-opening!
Good luck to the new owners….we can’t wait to meet you!

Restaurants in the area bring samples of their best entrees and desserts.
$25 a person and there is a cash bar.
