October 23, 2019Man Exposed Himself to Girls on 10/3 in Dyker Heights – Told About it on 10/22
A man driving a car on Thursday, OCTOBER 3rd exposed himself to two 11 year old girls near 72nd Street and 12th Avenue while they were walking to school in the morning. Story here and here
The man called the girls over to his black Dodge pick-up truck, with a cover on the back. When one girl approached the car and saw he was exposed, she ran away. It also happened to another girl a little while later.
Three weeks later (October 22nd the news shared it) we are being told about it. Parents have a right to know this information when it happens. And telling the community should be something required, not optional. We have all these means of sharing information, but the 68th precinct waits until weeks later to tell us.
Why doesn’t the police release this information even to a local paper after the incident happened?
This is how they keep their statistics low – pretend it didn’t happen.
Local politicians didn’t say a word either. People need a heads up when things like this happen. Why is it so secretive?

October 22, 2019Attempted Robbery at Campo Bello
Adam Balhetchet shared this on the video above: A teen was arrested for attempting to steal money. It happened around 7:30 pm Tuesday at Campo Bello II restaurant located at 9128 5th Ave, within the confines of the 68th Precinct. Upon the arrival of 68 Precinct units, they entered the basement and apprehended the perp without incident.

October 21, 2019Hate at TJ Maxx in Bay Ridge
A woman was not kind in TJ Maxx in Bay Ridge this weekend. Mido Mourad and his wife were berated to “Go back to their country.”

Telling people to go back to their country is just inappropriate.
Congressman Max Rose spoke out against it here:
Assemblywoman Mathylde Frontus shared this statement, which I think is how most people here feel:
Councilman Brannan and others wrote a letter have it investigated as a hate crime.
The Brooklyn Young Republicans also took a moment to speak out against the hate:
Don’t bring your hate to TJ Maxx in Bay Ridge – I shop there and there is no room for hate.
Most people were probably shocked by what was happening and didn’t realizing what was going on while they were shopping. The workers probably didn’t get involved because they don’t want to lose their jobs.
Usually one person in Bay Ridge speaks up – we aren’t a shy community.
