There was a huge water main break in Sunset Park last night. Possible sinkhole?
Press play:
Love too wake up with no water in our apartment because our nation’s century-old infrastructure is straining under the weight of disinvestment while a dozen men hoard enough wealth to fix every problem we face but everyday choose not to do that. pic.twitter.com/Xl5lRaJdMW
This morning, the flooding continues. See story here and here
Fifth Avenue is closed from 39th Street to 45th Street.
Sunset Park residents are experiencing brown water (some have particles in the water) as well. Can you drink the water? No! Get bottled water until everything clears.
Where is Councilman Carlos Menchaca? They will be in the office on Tuesday.
Three men were arrested in Borough Park for robbing a deli on 45th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway and hitting a shtreimel (the fur hat see above) off of Jewish man’s head.
Mideast Bakery in Bay Ridge has this platter with Hummus, Babagnoush (eggplant dip on the right) and red pepper dip – it’s nice to bring to someone’s house or a get together! $35
Their spinach pies are good and would make a nice platter as well.
When someone blocks you on Twitter, it means you are making too much noise or the wrong type of noise for their liking at the moment. People have lives other than social media and sometimes they need to quiet things down, even if they are an activist.
Well Jerry got a response and it was well..Whoooshhhhhhh…..#Epic See here
Been riding the roller coaster of life for the last few weeks walking in and out of hospitals.
While things weren’t looking good, someone who doesn’t know Lee or I well asked, “How can be certain there is a God?” As I answered I felt myself smiling.
Lee had surgery on Wednesday. The 4-hour surgery became a 8-hour surgery. Yesterday afternoon, I walked out of the hospital with Lee – he was unassisted. I texted everyone and their response was: “How is that possible?” : )
Once you have received a miracle, you know you can count on God. It was written about many years ago:
Luke 18:27
Mark 9:23
Matthew 17:20
Job 5:8-9
And it continues today…..Thankful today and every day.
