Community Forum On Hate by FBBR on 2/6

On Thursday, February 6th from 7 – 9 pm, Fight Back Bay Ridge is having a Community Forum at Good Shepherd at 7420 4th Avenue.
Daryle Lamont Jenkins of One People’s Project will be speaking about the rise of alt-right and white nationalist groups, and what the community can do to counter the hate and be safe.

Charlotte’s Web Show at Kingsborough 1/26


On Sunday, January 26th, Charlotte’s Web, based on E.B. White’s story of the friendship between a pig and a spider will be performed at On Stage at Kingsborough at 2001 Oriental Boulevard in Brooklyn. This show is recommended for ages 4 and up.

Verrazzano Bridge Standstill on 1/23
The  Verrazzano Bridge was at a standstill this morning for two hours as a slaughterhouse truck was hit by a tanker. See here

Naely Duman is a missing 17-year-old teen from West 6th Street in Brooklyn. Info here
She was last seen at her home on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
Naely is da 17-year-old female, Hispanic, who is 5’01”, 130 lbs., with brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a white jacket, blue jeans and burgundy boots.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1–800–577–TIPS (8477) or in Spanish, 1–888–57–PISTA (74782).

St. Pats Open House on January 26th

St Patrick’s Catholic Academy Open House is this Sunday, January 26th from 12:00-3:00. Tour the beautiful facilities & speak directly with our teachers, parents & students.
Their video is fantastic.
Then I saw the ad below for a Tuesday morning coffee meetup with the principal:

That’s a nice way to invite parents to a school! Very modern!

The advertisement for the new school looks good!

Politicians are running the show here, so people who are visiting during Catholic Schools Week will see Saint Anselm School and St. Anselm’s students and teachers. And their website doesn’t help either.
Even Jesus thinks Bay Ridge Catholic needs new PR.
