Staff at GEC Need Supplies Bay Ridge

The Guild For Exceptional Children at  260 68th Street in Bay Ridge is a non-profit organization that provides services for adults with developmental disabilities. This organization has multiple residences and supportive apartments. Currently, that population is at risk for the Covid-19.

The people that live in this organization have supported local business’ around Bay Ridge for many years by purchasing from our neighborhood, dealing with local vendors for supplies and by being good neighbors.

The residential program is currently in a shelter-in. This means the staff working in the residences are on 24 hours a day for seven days. No one besides the staff working and the clients are allowed in the residence. They are being frugal with the supplies they have but they are dwindling.

Please help  by donating any supplies you can spare to these homes, so they can continue to help clients and stay well ourselves.

*Items needed:

Gloves
Wipes
Masks
Gowns
Cleaning supplies
Alcohol
Hand sanitizer
Lysol

If you wish to donate, please drop supplies off at the main building:  260 68th Street   Bklyn, NY 11209   9AM-4PM

Thank you.

NYC Neighborhood Coronavirus Map

This map is a little better than the last one. B

Is it accurate?  It tells what it is suppose to tell.

The important thing to remember is that many people in this area weren’t tested because tests weren’t available.

Brannan Isn’t On the Rent Letter

This letter is important. Whose standing up against Governor Cuomo who didn’t pass a rent bill?   You can read the letter larger here.

Notice Justin Brannan isn’t on this letter. As I have been seeing with Brannan for awhile, he isn’t allowed to be vocal towards party leaders.

Brannan is home – why isn’t he on top of this?

Then I saw this and it explained a lot. Brannan is usually in everyone’s business and tweeting or retweeting other Councilmembers within seconds….BUT CLAIMS HE DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THESE COUNCIL MEMBERS JOINING TOGETHER.

Remember Gounardes is also not speaking out against Cuomo.

Even Councilmen Need to Practice Social Distancing

Practice what you preach, Councilman Justin Brannan!

While a generous donation of masks was made, social distance was not maintained. See original

Brannan’s staffer who took the picture didn’t remind the two men to stay apart. People have to speak up and yell out  #FlattenTheCurve…..it’s okay to tell your boss to do the right thing.

Then Brannan got spanked on social media because there’s some photoshop going on in his picture.  Why did his staff let him post this?

Remember Stand Together by not Standing Together. Governor Cuomo is tired of reminding people to use social distance.  See here

Be apart now, so we can all be together later!

Don’t be part of #Maskgate

In the Fall of 2020, Brannan was photographed wearing a mask. It looks very different than the other pic.

Coronavirus Rapid Test Site – 13 Minutes

The Rapid Corona Test Sites are not in Brooklyn, but people here may want to take a quick ride to Long Island to get the test done.

Abbot Labs created a new coronavirus rapid test called the Idnow Covid-19 test which will tell people if they have coronavirus in in 13 minutes. These tests are able to be done at three centers in Long Island, New York.

You MUST CALL AFC ahead for the test – you can not just walk into the center. They will screen you and tell you if should come in. Each center can do hundreds of tests each day.

Why were three places in Long Island chosen? Abbot Labs has a relationship with AFC already for previous tests.

This new test is a simple nose swab – not like the original test which was a deep nose swab. This is a safer test for the person administering the test  because the original nose swab test caused people to sneeze or cough after they are swabbed. After the test, people wait in their cars for the results.
