Senator Chan Gets Things Done in Brooklyn!

This is a shout out to our beloved Senator Chan!
There was a dying tree about to fall on our homes. 311 said we had to wait 8-10 days for an inspection. Meanwhile last Friday night a huge limb broke and fell on the electric wires. Still no help.
We contacted Sen Chan and today the problem was handled.
I urge everyone to vote for him in the upcoming election. He resides in our community and cares about it!
Steve Chan knows we are all rooting for him. Steve knows the corrupt government that has existed here so when he speaks in Albany he says his vote for the 17th District. Many times I have seen videos of him speaking in Albany and naming his neighborhoods before he speaks.

Call Someone You Haven’t Talked To In Awhile
I spoke with an old friend, who I haven’t spoken to in few years. We’ve known each other since sixth grade. We’ve texted, but we haven’t talked. It was nice to reminisce about old times and a boiler room.
The reality of friendship in Brooklyn is to never trust someone who doesn’t tell you about Lioni’s Heroes at 7803 – 15th Avenue. If your friend hasn’t shared Lioni’s with you, imagine all the other things they haven’t told you about?

We were sad to hear that Patrick Doyle died. He was fighting cancer for almost three years. Patrick was a well-known roofer in Bay Ridge.

RIP Maria Santos Flores – 85th Street in Bay Ridge
This morning around 9:15 am, a 36-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment on 85th Street between 4th and 5th Avenue. Her neck was cut. News: https://shorturl.at/kOTar
The sidewalk outside 435 – 85th Street was sectioned off with tape and the police have been on the block all day investigating the homicide.

Maria was a bartender at Huatulco Sports Bar on 36th Street in Sunset Park. There they don’t call her Maria, they call her Elli (NY Post article). This morning she completed her shift and went home.
Sadly, her 17-year-old son and sister found her this morning. The NY Post wrote that the son and his 3-year-old sister were home at the time of the murder. See:

They called her husband Antonio Hernandez, who was at work. Maria and Antonio were married three years. How awful this must be for all of them!
