RIP Maria Santos Flores – 85th Street in Bay Ridge
This morning around 9:15 am, a 36-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment on 85th Street between 4th and 5th Avenue. Her neck was cut. News: https://shorturl.at/kOTar
The sidewalk outside 435 – 85th Street was sectioned off with tape and the police have been on the block all day investigating the homicide.

Maria was a bartender at  Huatulco Sports Bar on 36th Street in Sunset Park. There they don’t call her Maria, they call her Elli (NY Post article). This morning she completed her shift and went home.

“Sadly, Santos’ 17-year-old son discovered Maria’s body just inside the home’s entrance when he went to open the door for his aunt. Maria’s husband, Antonio Hernandez was at work. Maria and Antonio were married three years. How awful this must be for him!

The killer is still at large. The 68th Precinct Police are checking cameras and investigating in the area.
