Dog Bit Woman on 71st Street in Bay Ridge 7/4/25
A 70-year-old woman was bit by a large brown dog on 71st Street between Ridge Boulevard and 3rd Avenue on July 4th between approximately 6:45 and 7:00 PM. After the attack, the dog’s owner did not help and left the scene.
Anyone who lives on 71st Street or in the surrounding area, please check your security cameras. If your cameras captured a woman walking a large brown dog between 6:45 and 7:00 PM on July 4tH. Even footage from before or after the attack could provide the piece of information we need to identify the owner.
The senior received emergency treatment and is now undergoing a series of rabies vaccinations because the dog’s vaccination status remains unknown.
